The Early morning speed spectacles on the India's fastest sector ie. the Delhi-Mathura route are always soothing to ones eyes. Not only one can see the back to back high speed action in the early morning hours but also one is taken a back by the variety which this section has to offer..be it related to MPS which ranges from 160 kmph/150 kmph/130 kmph/120 kmph/110 kmph or be it related to the electric loco buffet ranging from WAP-7 to WAP-1 and from WAP-5 to WAP-4. One is guaranteed to enjoy their time when one is on an Railfanning excursion on this section.
A similar nirvana was attained by me when I was on an early morning railfanning spree on the Delhi-Mathura route. We kick started our bike journey at 6 am just when the Bhopal Shatabdi was about to depart from New Delhi railway station and we managed to reach the Faridabad New Town station from Delhi border in less than 25 minutes and just as we reached the New Faridabad Town station we happened to get the 150 km/hr dash of the roaring Speed King ie. 12002 Bhopal Shatabdi Express with it's customary WAP-5 in lead, I did not even get a chance to remove my helmet as the King came in all of a sudden. Just after the Bhopal Shatabdi dash, we moved towards our next stop Asaoti where we relished the back to back high speed action of the Rajdhani gang along with the maddening 160 km/hr speed show by the Semi Bullet Train of Indian Railways: 12050 Gatimaan Express led by GZB WAP-5#30163. In between all this we also happened to relish the 110 km/hr sprint show by the speeding superfast trains.!
So just sit back and relish the scintillating early morning high speed actions at Asaoti station we I cherished on the eve of Diwali.
