I hope you find this video motivating and it gives you some ideas about how to speed up your daily routines. Thanks for watching!

If you rub mayo on your coffee table where the white marks from the water cups it will go back to normal...you’ll have to let it sit and rub it in...then when it goes back to dark wood you can clean it

I'am so surprised that you called yourself a slob. In private I also call myself that, but I am trying to do better..My father was also a slob, but not to slander him, he was a wonderful business man, husband and father. But, he was indeed a slob, and that is not calling anybody a putdown name, just means you are messy in general. I love your youtubes.

It seems like this system makes housework feel more like an achievement than a chore, and maybe that feeling comes across to your kids: that helping isn't just drudgery but caring for your own living space. (I hope that makes sense.) It was a stroke of genius when the FlyLady invented the name "Weekly Home Blessing" for these tasks - it sets a positive tone. Thanks as always Steph!

Thank you for this. I love how you have modified some of the Flylady principles. I got overwhelmed by the prospect of a daily swish and swipe with four bathrooms. Awesome video 👏❤

I am loving seeing how you cluster tasks together while you are in a given area! It gets done that way before you know it ! I was also inspired on another of your videos showing your vacuuming, immediately followed by the mopping ! I like both the Flylady routines and those of Clean Mama , where the Weekly Home Blessing gets split up over the days of the week , but if I can get tasks done sooner and more efficiently , so much the better ! I am 77, so some days my energy is low and I need to split up the tasks over the week . But it all gets done eventually!

Steph, I'm 76 and on my second swing with the flylady system. You got me onto Diane, too. The best thing about both of you is that you're fun to watch, have engaging personalities, and you don't have the grim attitude of the teachers and authors back when I was first learning. Started having a better attitude the SHE (Sidetracked Home Executives), who inspired Flylady, and now you two keep me going. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. BTW, "Grim" attitude doesn't go away. I wrote down my three May goals, and coming back to them, discovered they were ALL tasks I've been working on for years. No Joy there... quickly rewrote them!

Very motivating to see you getting all that done with 3 little ones! Enjoy this time in your life when they are little. My children's great grandmother told me that when my 4 were small. She said it is the best time of your life, and I took it to heart. They are all grown now - ages 28 - 42, and although this time is wonderful too, she was absolutely right! Good for you to be teaching them good habits!

I’ve watched this video so many times! Whenever I need some motivation this is my one of my “go-to’s” (along with your 5x5!). I can never seem to get to zone cleaning! I do my routines and I make it through the weekly home blessing, but I feel like I’m never fully cleaning anything! My home so much better, but it’s not great. One of these days I’ll make it to zone cleaning! 🤷‍♀️😁

This was great to watch and listen to what you are doing, the weekly home blessing always got me stumped and seeing that it's not trying to do a full house deep clean in one hour helps so much! I've been following you over a year (and Diane in Denmark) and been minimising with The Mininal Mom, and my house has never looked so good; my Mum has only been here twice in 2 years and yesterday she called to day she was on her way 😳 but I only need to do a quick 5 min pick up 😊 Oh yes, and that worrying about what your mum will say never ends - I'm 54 and my Mum's 76! 😆

MIT educational research says it is important for children to see themselves in mirrors in the bathroom and bedroom to build up a healthy self-image and self-confidence. Also, if they can see themselves playing in a group or sitting with the family as a group, it is very good for them to develop their sense of themselves as part of a loving, happy family. When I learned this, I put up Walmart full length mirrors in my classroom and my own house! It did seem to be good for my students. I noticed a change in their critical opinions of each other and found they became more realistic and friendly toward each other, seeing themselves as a team, rather than as competition.

Love love love. One suggestion I will make. As for the beds. We used to have 15-18 sheet sets for 3 beds. What I ended up doing was pairing it down to 2 sheet sets per bed. That way I could change the sheets and get the bedding on immediately. Then wash the dirty. Because I had a pee pee kid who was having accidents we did 3 sets for him with 3 plastic backed pads that went over the waterproof mattress covers. So in the middle of the night, if he wet the bed, we would just strip the bed put on the clean and run the pee pee in the wash. And more than one night we had 2 accidents hence the 3 sets. Sometimes the struggle is real with potty training. Also we’ve had the occasional puke in the middle of the night. That way we can easily switch out to clean sheets and bedding. Also very bed we own from the minute I bought it has a waterproof cover on it. It has saved us dozens and dozens of times!!! And not one mattress has one single stain!!

Hi thank you for sharing your knowledge. I appreciate it so much. I do love my sinks shiny. I love this video. Weekly home blessing. I love that. I agree the more simple my apartment is the more likely I will clean it. Since I decluttered I have so much less to dust. I love that.

We’ve got the laundry room to do this week in the zone, so I have one last bit to finish home blessing and zone cleaning. Mopping, which really tears up my lower back when you combine with vacuuming. This week I did li’l roomba in one room and moved the bath mopping since that’s the zone, just have the laundry room floor and usual routines and much less of a backache. Next week I’ll likely have to stretch out the mopping and vacuuming over a few days or really follow my timer. Getting efficient is important if you use the 15 minute rule, I think that’s part of the plan with the system, not getting sidetracked. Love the handy printable stuff!

Thanks for making this video. I’m a working mom so weekends are for spending time with my son, Grocery shopping and cleaning the house. I decided to let it go for a few weeks because I felt I wasn’t being appreciated. I’m ready to resume my home blessings tomorrow morning. You inspire me!

I like how you combine Wk HB with morning routine. Nice idea. Have gotten disorganized as I bring toys gome from work to do TeleHeath so I super appreciate this vid. I have to go turn compost after breakfast but I will review when I do this week HB. Thanx Steph. You look marvelous.

One thing I have done as a treat to myself is buy Mrs. Meyer's scented multipurpose cleaner since COVID summer, it's so lovely and cleans well. I'm pretty bad at housekeeping but that makes it nicer and it is more likely to get done!!!

Hi Steph, thank you for your videos. I’ve only just subscribed. They’re simple and easy to follow. Thanks for the printable sheets too. You’ve motivated me to hopefully start to declutter and stick to a morning and evening routine along with a weekly hour. I work so I do find it difficult. Thanks again. Hana from London.

Thanks for all you do to motivate us. You are a busy mama. Today has been a lazy day for me. I had company this morning & did some baby sitting this afternoon. I didn’t get any housework done other than wash dishes. The house looked pretty good’ though. Supper was canned homemade veggie soup & tossed salads.

Hi Steph, this video was encouraging. I re-set myself a second time this Monday, with doing my dishes, plunging my kitchen sink, and shining my sink. I made 5 trips up and down the stairs moving some supplies to storage. I have another 2 days of that - so I'm getting my exercise. I've been on lock down over 50 days with my dog. And will have to probably need to wait for a vaccine. You brightened up my day. I love the encouragement you and Diane in Denmark give!
