MORNING RUSH at CANADA'S BUSIEST AIRPORT - Toronto-Pearson Plane Spotting (4K)

Toronto-Pearson International Airport is by far and away the busiest airport in all of Canada, serving over 50 million passengers in 2019. Although traffic hasn't quite reached those levels again, it's pretty close, and the airport is super busy these days!
In February of 2022, myself and my good friends @BSiskaAviation,@MarkBrandonAviation, and Will ( willrdaviation) paid a visit to Canada's busiest airport for some spotting, and this 35 minute compilation of departures from runway 06L just scratches the surface of the traffic that YYZ has to offer.

Go over to Aviation World on Carlingview. Hooters parking lot is where these were taking off over. There's also a Coffee Time on Carlingview

If i would be the Air Canada fleet manager i would immediately order a complete paint job into the new livery for all remaining aircrafts. Especially the 777-200 LR cries for that.

WOW, that’s a lot of airplanes in a long line up on the tarmac. Yes, the airport in Toronto really is very HUGE and BUSY. You would probably get lost once you get there, so be sure to follow the sign wherever you need to go. Yep, I flew to Toronto a few times. If there was no COVID-19, the airport would have carried about 65 million passengers by now, so the airport still work very hard to gain more passengers.

Airports are much quieter than they used to be. I still remember how noisy the old 727, DC 9 and 737s used to be.

Oh how I miss the whine and earth rumbling roar of the JT8D. I miss the diversity of types. Sitting in the McDD lot, if you didn't have a scanner, you never knew what was going to emerge from behind Vista cargo; 707s, 727s, 737s, DC-8s, DC-9s, DC-10s, Tristars, 747s, 757s, 767s Convair 640s and 580s. I miss the liveries. CP's orange, red and metal, Canadi>n's blue and gray, Wardair with its classy stripes, Air Canada with its unmistakable red and white, Worldways' two tone eastern-esq hockey stick, PWA, OWA, Royal, Transat, BA Landor, Eastern, American, USAir. Now they all sound like vacuum cleaners, and come in various sizes of twin, in mostly white. The only thing that remains is the smell.

Gotta love the Runway views you can get from the Wendy's parking lot on Airport Rd. EDIT: Nevermind! Just realized as you zoomed out this was 06L on Convair. Damn, I should try this location next time I go spotting!

great video! its probably my own bias being a yvr air traffic controller. in terms of morning rushes, from 4am - 11:59am yvr is actually the busier airport in terms of arrivals and occasionally departures in the morning

Are some AC planes light blue? I always assumed white, but compared to actually white planes in this light they look blue.

The blue-green body colour is the old livery for AC, newer one is white and black. Some aircraft still have the old one flying today.

Meh... Nothing special about this airport. Probably one of the worst run ones for irregular operations (and perhaps even regular) in all of North America. Several people I know would rather make the drive to Hamilton or Kitchener Waterloo just to avoid flying out of Toronto Pearson.
