Morning Walk in Castalla International, Alicante in October 2019

This video is a short morning walk at the Castalla International, Alicante on October 19th, 2020.
Castalla Internacional, the urbanisation of Els Campellos, is situated on the outskirt of Castalla Town. The urbanisation project started in 2000 and it is just 20 minutes drive from the Alicante City Centre and 25 minutes drive from Alicante Airport, the sixth largest airport in Spain.
It is about 41-kilometre north-west of Alicante. The Castalla Internacional is a very tranquil place to live and to enjoy mountainous scenery. There are many ex-pats from the UK, France, Germany, etc.
It is about 6 Celsius temperature difference than Alicante as it is situated inland and over 1000 feet above the sea level.

Awesome place, beautiful peaceful valley, super close to a big international airport and the beach. And growing as well, as many as 4000 foreigners came to reside in the last few years.

Could not agree with you more David. Very peaceful place but you need a car to travel from place to place. Public transport is non existed.

It looks lovely but I read on a lawyers website that most of the villas here are 'unfinished' on paper and they don't have certificates of habitability and thus are illegal. These look pretty finished to me perhaps said lawyer was just trying to get some business for conveyancing. As a local can I ask you if this is true? How is life in this urbanización?

Thank you so much for watching my video Ricardobayes. It is not true that the houses do not have certificates of habitations. As the place is not near the beaches, the place is very quiet and peaceful.

No, that is not correct. In the same area, neighbor housing project “El Terol” has some issues due to sewage and water system not being up to legal standards. They have an ongoing project to fix it, but may take years. But there are no legal issues at “Castalla Internacional” that I know of. The promotion is still young (I think it was build since 2005), hence some buildings may be still under development, but the area continues growing in popularity due to quick access to city, beach, hospital, airport… besides weather, jaw-dropping environment, and being still somewhat unknown to the general public (hence cheap).

Most of phase 2 is illegal and without proper sewage . If you like dog shit and barking dogs this is the place for you . Soon to have 5 million solar panels installed all around .

Un lugar precioso, pero abandonado por el ayuntamiento, donde no impera ningún civismo, donde cada vecino busca joder al de al lado, si eso pensábamos muchos cuando vinimos aquí, los contenedores de basura lleno de muebles, brozas, podas, si maravillosa urbanización, Donde la depuradora está constantemente siendo subsanada por camiones cisterna... Castalla Internacional sin LEY
