Chefchaouen isn't a jew city, that city was built back in the 13th century to host the andalusians (only muslims and jews) who fleed the spanish torture after they kicked them out of their lands and houses cause they refused to convert to christianity, and since then they settled in chefchaouen and other cities like Tetouan, Assilah, Fez, Rabat... Otherwise,too bad when you get there and you don't visit the Qasbah, that's the old monument of the city, feels like you've missed a big part of Chaouen history!
