Nooo seshomaru told her to immediately try using Tenseiga, Totosai was no where near. Seshomaru knows Towa can channel her energy into swords so he thinks it might let her use the tenseigas ability as normal even though it’s broken. That’s something even seshomaru can’t do

@@dsj19 Did I say Totosai was nearby? No. I said maybe Jaken would run into them sometime and tell them about Totosai and have them repair Tenseiga. Towa channeling energy through the sword to use it can also be possible, but it's an opinion.

I doubt. Seshomaru doesn't care about Tessaiga. But towa's power is the power to create the sword with her demon energy. Is it just me or the power scaling of those three are way higher than Inuyasha?

I think it's because their like the 2nd generation of the half demons that acquired certain abilities at a younger age...kind of how in dbz goten and trunks turnt super sayian mad young but they still weren't strong as goku or Gohan even after they grew up? They peaked early...far as the half demons go I think they're potential is greater than inuyasha and sesshomaru but inuyasha and sesshomaru together currently have more wisdom and control over their abilities. But overall I think that was a good question you proposed.

I think that pulsing was supposed to indicate that they couldn’t control themselves when in that state. Towa and Moroha were in complete control, so no pulsing.

Actually Kagome was completely and Inuyasha was a half-demon thus with them being her parents she's not even one-third demon she's merely one -quarter demon!!

The things allowing her to be on par with her cousins is her spiritual powers and the fact she's deeply connected to her grandfather somehow. Those two things combined makes it possible for her to be on a similar level with Towa, Setsuna, and her father. She'll likely never be on par with a full blooded demon like her cousins can be but she at least is spared some of the weaknesses of a half demon and has strong spiritual powers

Its fan service for all the moroha fans. They would have been pissed if she wasn’t utilized in that final battle I truely believe thats the reason she was there.

Moroha has their grandfather, Towa was showing her father. Towa being half demon and Moroha is only a quarter. The show talks a lot about how the rouge Moroha applies let’s the latent demon cells inside her call on the memories of her grandfather since the rouge legit has his blood in it.

Beniyasha is her demon form.

All we need is just her turn into silver hair. Then is all that enough. Wondering if Setsuna can also do that in season 2 after being revived.

What we need is the tenseiga that revives people.

It's a bit of a retcon, but one I like. Yashahime tends to treat the demons much better than the original series. Demons and humans are both blood thirsty (the halfblood children in Shiori's village are made orphans by both sides so they don't particularly prefer one over another), demon lives and human lives are equal (it's fair for Setsuna to kill both and Kaede as a human does not hate her for it; Shiori wants solutions for both sides), certain demon leaders might be victims of black propaganda even if they verbally state they hate halfdemons and humans (Kirinmaru)....etc As such the twins embrace their half-demonhood and their demonic side without any inferiority complex whatsoever (something Towa jokes about when talking to Riku; in fact Moroha and Setsuna even tease each other about having a human mother - perhaps thinking that makes them weaker). Thus in Yashahime, full demonic mode is not a curse that eats away your humanity anymore, but a power and even a great legacy to be mastered. Whereas in Inuyasha, the right way for a half-demon is always choosing the human heart over the demon heart (Inuyasha tells Naraku so in the Final Act); A good demon tends to be defined as one who has compassion towards humans etc etc It's unfair because the standards are so different, but from Yashahime's perspective, Inuyasha is a bit of a self hater and he has troubles with the full demonic mode because he fears and hates it so much (Yet it also has been shown that later in the Final Act, Inuyasha sometimes utilized that mode quite well and Tessaiga let him do it. Only under the corrupting influence of Naraku and Magatsuhi, this mode again became too dangerous. Remember that being inside Naraku made Sango went as far as trying to kill Rin.) People who love water and don't scream or kick will learn how to swim faster, that's how.

If I had to guess, the writers are taking the Dragon Ball principal with Half-Sayians, their potential can outdo full-blooded Sayians if they train at it. However, I have no idea if that applies to Half-Demons or in Moroha's case a quarter-demon (her Mom's spiritual powers added aside) within the setting of the lore of Inu-Yasha. This show isn't bad but I honestly wonder how much input was had from Rumiko Takahashi, and even then; like many commentators here I just don't fully feel this show. It feels like an odd-duck of a sequel like there are connections to the original story, but much like Boruto it feels like it's trying too hard to while missing the nuances that made the original so good.

To be fair, the blood-whip-sword thing seems to be a version of Sesshoumaro's own whip (which as far as I'm aware he did not have in the manga?). Inuyasha does have techniques without Tessaiga, the blood blades and the soul-stealer being one. He also seems more physically durable than the twins, so there is that (and also in a way more athletic/faster than the twins are). Also I remember it being said that his blood potential is too strong for him to handle, that is why he has Tessaiga (like Rin from Blue Exorcist). Sesshou, as you explained, is/was weaker - supposedly - than his dad /but his power levels were rather inconsistent throughout the whole story - one of the greatest demons is injured by Ryukotsusei but unable to kil the dragon whom then his half-blood son offs of, and is killed by a human? Unless "great" is not merely power, but also personality./. Setsuna and Moroha are at least semi-realistic in this setting, but Towa is just a Mary Sue.

@@yoruichisan19 Yeah exactly on Inuyasha's as a character his demon blood is too potent for a half demon such as himself to handle and with each transformation into a full demon before he mastered the reforged Tessaiga he would've eventually lost his humanity and continue to fight and hunt like a rapid animal until his body burns out or he was killed either way he dies and Tessaiga was passed on to protect him and teach him compassion to loving and protecting others. Same logic can be used for Soun'ga which seems to be canon now thanks to this vid Inuyasha at that point of the movie depending on where we put it in the timeline before he learns Kongousoha wasn't near the power enough to wield it with Totosai suggesting Sesshomaru who was more powerful than Inuyasha by that point was strong enough to wield the sword besides their deceased father

@@yoruichisan19 I really like your perspective, the way you explain it would mean that Inuyasha has more power than the twins but it’s too much for him to handle, so it’s like his powers were sealed which would be more logical since he is older and has more experience. Having that in mind makes me dislike Yashahime less and enjoy it more, since they still would show respect to the original by not making Towa op for no reason, I wanted them to show how the girls got stronger and so on. I really like Inuyasha because he actually went to through a lot to get were he is now, and in all his battles he would struggle, and I would root for him and it wasn’t always the same way in which he would defeat the enemy. Like Inuyasha (the show) focused more on personal growth than power levels unlike many shonen anime, like Inuyasha didn’t have to be the strongest to be cool and succeed on his goal whether it was physical or mental, and in yashahime you already know Towa is so strong and that she will defeat the enemy in the same episode. Like Inuyasha wasn’t like other shonen shows, it was attempting something different but I feel yashahime just wants to look cool and focus just on the powers of the girls, and they don’t invest much in their characters and forget about the logic regarding powers and abilities from the original just to make them look cool.

It was also present in the Flashback with Toga and Kirinmaru. It can be seen on Toga's back with the other 2 swords on his side.

Guy has balance as a character and I like that. By daiyoukai's standards he is the kindest of them all (excluding people who haven't been seen fighting like Housenki II), but his taunting techniques are comparable to Sesshomaru, Ryukotsusei, Shishinki... et al, although he mixes derisions with praises. He also seemed to intend to torture Setsuna to make Towa stronger, even if the death is an accident - that's an edgy part.

Does any other half demon did suffer like Inuyasha? Generalizing on one example may be mistake.

@@wojciechwerner8787 If I remember correctly, the tree demon explained before that Inuyasha suffered from demon power is because his demon power is too powerful as his father is Great Demon. So, other half demons don't suffer might because their parent is just ordinary demon. However, Towa's father, Seshomaru, is also the Great Demon now, hence, that's why I have a question whether author still remember about this.

@@raitei1213 Great Demon isn't exactly precise term for power level. First of all was he Great Demon when twins were conceived? Even if he was his father was Great Demon for centuries before conceiving Inuyasha. Also making half breeds isn't exact science Setsuna and Towa have some different powers even with being twins. Inuyasha may simply be looser of genetic lottery. Those are my interpretations and speculations so feel free to ignore them. I only wanted to say that one specimen we had seen may not be average for "species" in general.

What are you talking about? Moroha is the one with all the power-ups. Everytime she uses her rouge and transforms it's a power-up. Towa has barely any power-ups, and unlike Moroha and Setsuna, she is affected by emotional pain, not physical. For her to get unlock her demon form after losing her sister makes sense. She did earn it.

Of course they are going to revive her. That's writing 101, you end the first season with a cliffhanger and a hook for a sequel season (her death and getting the broken Tensaiga). S2 is probably about them either restoring the sword or learning to wield it in it's broken form before going after the villains. Maybe they'll need the pearls as a Mcguffin for either. There's plenty of loose ends to bring back Setsuna.
