How to install a portable air conditioner window seal from the inside of the apartment (outward opening window).

@morozovautomotive What do I do with the extra part of the casement? It’s just hanging loose and as a result there’s a gap that air passes through.

@@simons3519 You can either attach it to the existing Velcro halfway together with the other end. And/or you can use another roll of tape to secure it on top.

SO HELPFUL!! Thank you from Canada. Your directions are very clear and easy-to-follow. My "Noma Portable Air Conditioner Casement / Awning Window Accessory Kit" came with the worst instructions pamphlet I've ever seen, and looks to be the identical product. Canadian Tire should sponsor this video, and include a QR code link in their printed instructions. Would save folks a lot of time and stress.

I shudder to think how long it would have taken me to install this window seal had it not been for this gentleman. As it was, it still took 3 attempts to attach the material to the velcro because my window is shaped differently and the opening for the AC hose ended up in the wrong place. So I then started from where I needed the exhaust to exit and all is well, and it required a lot less time and a lot less frustration because, thanks to this video, I understood the logic and the mechanics. Bravo, sir!

I just used this again and kept stopping it, following your instructions and would watch again. You really helped me with installing the fabric and I appreciate it very much. Thank you for these clear instructions. The hard part is securing the zipper opening so I used white duct tape to hold the zipper pull to the hose to keep the bugs out. Thank you again!

Great video, was able to easily install the kit following your detailed instructions. I used a few pieces of the left over Velcro and attached the excess fabric to the outer and upper edges of the window frame. Thanks a lot for this video.

Most helpful. Most focus on windows that open inwards, not outwards, and even when manufacturer provides the casement they are not showing you how it works for this type of window.

Thanks for clarifying. For sizing, the manufacturer always says to measure just one side + top and bottom length. Obviously that doesn’t work, as you’ve explained you have to add all four sides.

If you have leftover velcro use it to secure the spare fabric up the side of the frame behind the usable area 👌
