Congratulations to Grandmaster Sarana on a wild World Blitz tournament where he started 3/8 but then staged an incredible comeback, going 11.5 from his next 12 games, including back to back wins over GM's Nakamura and Carlsen. Sarana was definitely a player to watch out for in the event as his 3000 blitz rating puts him atop the lichess blitz rankings. I had the chance to play him a few games last week and here is one of the Morra games.

Ah, yes. The same Sarana that just had wins against Nakamura and Carlson at the World Blitz Championship. I was going to ask, but then I read the video description.

Yaaay! Absolutely love this game and the subsequent mini lecture. I was following world rapid and GM Sarana has been brilliant there, which makes this even more impressive cuz he must have been well prepped too. ♥️ Hope we get to see you play more games against the top players in 2023! (to Vivaldi no less)

Sarana beat Nakamura and Carlsen back to back at the blitz championship. And Marc eviscerates him in this game. Wow

Esserman with Morra is something special. I really want to see Marc take on the likes of Magnus and Hikaru on the white side of the Morra gambit. I'm not convinced either those Super GMs would be able to beat him.

he drew against HIkaru in the morra. He was completely winning but also time trouble stuff so had to go for draw.
