This is the full version video of the TAMIYA MORRIS MINI COOPER S building.
00:00 body work [Part 1]
05:28 front subframe / door / boot [Part 2]
10:56 seat / bonnet / paint [Part 3]
16:49 engine [Part 4]
24:49 rear suspension / engine bay [Part 5]
33:22 engine bay / window [Part 6]

50:03 assembly / boot / steering wheel [Part 8]
59:37 door / wheel tire [Part 9]
01:05:21 door handle /wiper /number plate [Part 10]
I referred to the '64 cooper S. At the time of launch, there were no side mirrors and seat belts, and there was only one fuel tank. According to Internet search, the official introduction of twin tanks was from 1966. Prior to that, it appears to have been installed as an option.

Every now and then, not too often, there is something on youtube that really makes it worth while. This is, certainly one of the best. No banging music or rediculous production, just a display of skill and true craftsmanship at its finest. Thank you for posting this, extremely enjoyable and entertaining.

Long ago I made a Tamiya Citroën 2cv6 , 1/24. I think it is a very good brand, very precise, everything fits perfectly and looks exactly like the real car. And I was very proud of the result. But seeing your work on this Mini, it is clear to me that there are builders and builder-experts. You must be one of the best.

I owned and worked on a large number of minis in the 70s and 80s and watching this film bought it all back, even down to the hinged rear no plate! The only thing your wonderful model lacks is rusty inner and outer cills and a plastic bag wrapped around the distributor to keep the water out! Absolutely wonderful...

I've built a military model before, but I think it's harder to weathering the car naturally. Thanks!
@DrWhom
@DrWhom 2 жыл бұрын
@@A4Garage I agree, realistic weathering requires treatment of tiny areas and very thin layers. Otherwise your car ends up looking like it's on an antique post card. Paul Budzik on his channel has a lot to say about this. Modellers these days are fans of panel lines and weathering. If you translate them back to full scale, the "panel lines" would be an inch across and the "dirt" would be a very think layer of mud and grime, and oil in real life. Budzik thinks it looks bad, and I tend to agree with him. The irony is that, when you go to an auto show, they do the opposite: super shine, not a speck or a smudge. However, a rally car could be a sensible exception.
