If there is such a thing as perfection in model making (I leave it to others to debate that in their spare time) 😉, then you, sir, create perfect models, and I will be happy to take the affirmative position on that! As always, I’m amazed and appreciate your work; thank you for sharing it with us.

As the video opened all I could focus on was the yellow bands on the seats. I thought 'Oh no he's ruined it with out of scale seatbelts. What a shame after all the effort" !! I have never seen a model quite like this before. Almost defies description. Outstanding.
@A4Garage2 жыл бұрын
It's not a seat belt, but a masking tape for fixing the seat when assembling. I didn't make a seat belt this time. It's really dangerous, but before 70' , seat belts were not basic. I'm going to express this amazing fact as it was at that time.

Your skill is awesome - and you make it look so easy. Thank you for listing the supplies you use, and also for the quality of the filming. Though I will never approach this level of achievement, it is helpful to see how it should be done. If you are struggling for your next subject, I would love to see you take on the 1:24 Airfix Harrier. :)

@@A4Garage You appear to focus on iconic designs (Miura, DS, Mini etc) so I think it would be a good fit. Let me know if it ever interests you as I have a mountain of the kind of detail reference material required. Or just keep making cars - they're beautiful!!

Fantastic, every episode reminds me of the Mini I owned back in the 70s. Mine was the basic model, the door handles were pieces of wire you pulled down on to open! I am also reminded of what a delightfully simple vehicle it was.

Good lord,this build is better than the lamboo.Jawdropping this MINI. Seen a lot of building video,s,but this is without doubt the masterbuilder on KZfaq. My models are not even allowed to sit in the shade of this man.And my level is above medium.But this is the C-L of modelbuilding. History made by the handfull. Everytime the new video is here i get myself a big mug of black coffee and enjoy the +20 minutes of stunning modelbuilding.

this is totally off the scale for detail and construction absolutely amazing, my only disappointment is that this tear of Mini had drum brakes all round and i know i will get slated for saying that. ive never in my life seen such perfection though truly superb
@neilbedford50822 жыл бұрын
The smaller-engined 'non-Cooper' Mk1 Minis were indeed drums all around - but this is a Cooper. All Mk1 Coopers had disks at the front. The first Cooper appeared in 1961 with 7" disks but later ones had 7.5" disks. This Tamiya model is a Mk1 Cooper 1275 'S' with hydro-elastic suspension, which places it between '64 and '67 - so it would have had 7.5" disk brakes on the front and drums on the rear. If I was to be pedantic (God forbid), then the door handle bosses on this kit mean it is actually a 1966 or 1967 Mk1 - still with 7.5" disks

This precision and detail goes beyond what you can see on the watchmaking channel. Now, granted watch repair and construction has more practical uses, but this car model....well, of what use is a newborn baby or the Mona Lisa behind 6 inches of glass? Enjoy for what it is!
