for everyone saying that he "needed 3 guitarists" for this song, he didnt. he simply already had 3 guitarists on stage so obviously they are all going to play.

everyone forgetting: Marr overdubbed guitar parts on the recordings Live it didn't sound as full as the records Craig Gannon helped Marr on stage with rhythm parts in the later years which is why, to sound better, its better to have more than one guitar player live

@@andrewmccloud8581 Yep, that's all true. The Smiths really needed Gannon's rhythm guitar to enhance their live performances.

I don't know he can look in the mirror and play this when the whole architecture of the song derives from Johnny Marr's amazing composition and haunting riffs. The fact that he needs 3 guitarists in his line up to get close to 1 Johnny Marr says everything you need to know.

The Smiths had 2 guitarists during live performances. It’s hard for anybody to recreate it live

@@charleshill82ify Craig Gannon was the 2nd guitarist in The Smiths for roughly about a year most of the time it was Johnny Marr by himself
