1993....first time hearing this gem for me.... I was a VERY late bloomer. 29 and I could count the number of times I had been on a date on my hands! Morrisey....The Smiths were a solid soundtrack for my own angst and insecurities..... 1993....the year I met my beloved bride....we have been married 28 years...

+PazzaTV Anybody I know who knows anything of The Smiths, either knows one song/a few songs of their career, know the name of the band but don't listen to them or Moz at all or listen to them religiously but don't associate with Morrissey's solo work. At all. When he writes songs like this, how can you ignore it on any level??? It gets to me so much. I wish more people could understand his honesty.

I remember seeing this video in 1992. I've always loved the timeless look of it, filmed in black and white, what they're wearing and their camaraderie. Stylish but not overly so. Doesn't hurt that the song rocks.

After studying the images, I can tell you where they recorded it. Ruelle de la Halle aux Herbes, turn left, Ruelle de la Boucherie, turn left, Rue Colonna d'Istria, in the old center of Nice... Look on google maps 3D and you will recognize some buidings and doors.

Something about this video is timeless. Maybe it's because it's in black and white, maybe it's the architecture, maybe it's the clothes and hair - it looks like it could have been filmed any time from the 1950s until now. Only the cars would seem out of place. It's just perfect.

this song is a masterpiece...melody, the way Moz sings, musical arrangements....ok there isn't Marr but this song reminds me better moments of the Smiths
