Real shame the only time MK1 gets any hype is when a guest character from ANY OTHER FRANCHISE gets added. Love the game but holy shit is it lacking.

It was hype asf up until you play through all the base content. And the only other conen5 confirmed are Guest Characters. Oh, and the release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 didn't help. Even if that game did low-key flop? It's a thousand times better than MK1

Bruh, it's so sad how this shit flopped. I swear they put all of their time and resouces into marketing the game and not actually the game. If WB wanted to make hella bread, they would've made sure the game was completed first. If you want to make good money, make a good product and people will buy. SIMPLE!

As an FG enthusiasist I want all of the franchises to succeed. NRS is making it very difficult to root for them right now though. With Tekken 8 just around the corner, we owe it to ourselves to check that game out. NRS needs to get their s*it together in the future!

Its like the focused more on the story and the looks of the characters and the way that they act but they just forgot to make sure that the gameplay is actually well playable without people having to worry about this type of stuff and the characters being unbalanced

Turning Kuai Liang into Scorpion was the worst decision they made. Why? Why? Who told them that was a good decision? And why does he have Japanese weapons if he's Chinese now? Why did he just so coincidently decide to run to JAPAN and create a clan called the Shirai Ryu and not a clan with a Chinese name? Why is he with Scorpion's wife? Thats even way worse? Why does he look like Hanzo? AND WHY IS HANZO NOW SOME ORPHAN IN TRAINING??

Same for me. They just shoehorned him Hanzo's entire life and legacy, while making Hanzo into some homeless orphan. It also makes no sense that Kuai (a Chinese man) is using Japanese weapons and runs off to Japan to start a Japanese clan. They're also trying to force this whole "rage" aspect on him (as seen in Raiden's ending) while Kuai as a character has never been about that and has always been more calm and collected, even at a younger age he was never defined by his rage. Hanzo's rage was understandable and made sense considering all he lost and was forced to go through. Kuai's supposed "rage" is a joke compared to that.

Off the top of my head let me list reasons this game might be doing badly: >Unbalanced characters, even months after release. Dont get me STARTED on Sereena. >Games massive. Like 150GB massive. When youre bored or want a new game, chances are youre gonna delete this first. >Despite its size, its small! There was a LACKING amount of content on release, and its still got jack shit going for it. I got the platinum trophy the second they dropped a Titan Battle! Hopefully they learn and increase their story-stuffs (and downsize the size) for MK2. Graphics shouldn't be a priority!

lol they still have data frames way off in the practice menu for some characters like tanya. Says he f2 1 1 2 is plus 15. I that was the case that all you need to do to win with infinite pressure. It also stay that startup frames is 1.

I feel like the reason WHY it fell off was because of the lack of content. There’s barely any DLC skin packs or skins in general compared to X and 11, you feel me? Another thing is the update schedule and the item shop refresh…don’t get me started on that😭 it deadass takes approximately 2 weeks to refresh istg, I can find a loyal gf in the span of 2 item shops. But throughout all this bs the game can still be saved.

@@Demigah I can see why. But yeah MK11 gave DLC characters their own skins like they did with Spawn. But who knows, I think Tekken will win this year for fighting game of 2024, but time will tell for sure if they can try to fix the problems but I do agree with what you said about MK11 being the best game.

Warm greetings from Germany. I just discovered your KZfaq channel. I love MK1 and still actively play it, but I completely agree that something needs to change. The way NRS is currently dealing with MK cannot continue and must urgently stop. Hopefully that will change with the Story DLC. I'm really disappointed in NRS for the lack of content at the moment. I really hope that things will get better and that in a year or two we will have a great game that can compete with MK11 and X.

The whole omni man gear thing makes me wish they had taken some ideas from other games they made like injustice 2 and had added gear you can unlock through leveling or playing online or playing invasions and the gear system would work like injustice 2 with the gear having certain perks and stat upgrades😭

I wouldn't say it fell off i think it's just after how the game launched and currently there's a desync problem (which is why i stopped playing for a little bit) but overall i still love the game they just need to fix certains things Edit: i feel like if they were give dlc characters skin you would either have to pay or do something to get said skin since i think it's already known you get dragon Krystals (Ingame premium currency) on those characters so you would have to play a base game character enough to get said premium skins i got the johnny cage one just from playing it did took awhile tho😂

Netherrealm rushed the game I will never spend 100$ again. I payed more for less I do believe that the game can comeback but only at the end of it's lifespan they have potential to make a great game but rushing it and getting dlc to keep the game relevant is crazy I blame WB more than netherrealm.
