@@Praechi and on top of that, he's a lapdog of the incompetent Elder Gods. He didn't have any time to spare for luxury and needs to be ready to do their biddings 24/7. Roughly, Raiden is probably in the underdog level of gods hierarchy, just a little bit above Rain, a little bit under Shao Kahn. No wonder he spent his semi eternal life in bitterness and depression. Liu Kang, however, is a Titan. The Elder Gods themselves is his lapdog.

20:29 I love how Liu Kang is truly happy from the bottom of his heart after hearing this. He loves having Johnny, Raiden, Kung Lao, and the others as his allies. All he’s doing is relishing in his role as Earthrealm’s protector and being himself, and he loves knowing after everything he’s been through, his friends love nothing more than to be his friend too.

I really love the fact that Liu Kang made time to sit and have dinner with the champions (and then abandon them when the time came to pay the bill). If there's one thing this game does better than its predecessors at, it's depicting a warm and wholesome dynamic between the Earthrealm champions as allies and friends. The banter and dialogue between them says a lot about how far they came since when they first met Liu Kang and trained at the Wu Shi.

I like how theres a good virtuous shang tsung and he has 5 seconds of screen time all because when he helped the player and turned his back to the evil shang tsung his entire skeleton got ripped out of him by one of simple strongest looking spells evil shang tsung had, like you dont even need to be weak or dying for it to work you just need your opponent have their back turned on you to essentially kill them with zero effort how stupidly op.

Bro, this is gonna be one of the coolest endings in fighting game history. Literally any of the main roster can be chosen for different cutscenes im guessing because itd be weird if say li mei did the same moves as general shao. And the amount of different fighters you face off against is amazing. Im definitely picking shao because i like the idea of him working with liu against shang and quan. Plus, it fits because he was the final guy who made it to the top of Armageddon in mk9

As a Havok fan, I am extremely happy with how this game ended. Originally when I saw the trailers and I was thinking of the plot I thought they would psych us out with Shang Soon and shao Kahn being villains and be revealed to be Havik and I'm glad that seems like that's where they're going to be going with the new plot. I hope they just don't do a fake out Dark Raiden again.

The fact there's even a selectable option for DLC characters in the roster is honestly cool. Reminds me of when we first got to pick three fighters to fight the final boss in World of Light in Smash Ultimate, how people wrote their own stories and came up with their own reasons for the fights they chose. Replay value and healthy encouragement of fanfiction for the win!

Been playing fighting games my whole life and I absolutely love everything about this new story, from klassic, to 3D, to new era, all get their new perfect roles/story/purpose. This game was a love letter to long time fans of the franchise and its about damn time a good AAA title had some heart put into it, its a great year for fighting game fans

Aesthetically I would have picked Raiden as the final victor to this whole storyline,as Raiden was the beginning of this tale and his interaction with Liu Kang in the end of the second timeline was amazing. And this would have been a nice send off for Raiden’s character offering a new storytelling.

I dunno why but I'm glad this Liu Kang is the Liu Kang. Like it feels like going to a new school but the one teaching is a familiar face so you have a sense of safety while being around somewhat new faces and I love the direction this new saga is going. I enjoyed every second of the story. Love the new light and roles each character played that were sort of different from their previous ones. Everyone in the games playable roster had a perfect amount of storytelling given and I just have to applaud Mr Boon for making such an awesome game ❤️🙌😁

A truly awesome final chapter, in not only coming full circle, and allowing you to choose whoever you want of the playable cast, but it also making it look like everyone was important in it, even dead people! Even NON playable characters like Sonya. I hope that future DLC Mortal Kombat specific characters like Quan Chi will come along the relative updates for this chapter, so one can play as them too in it.

I doubt it, seeing as how these characters are basically just the characters you play as in the main roster if you hacked the game and changed their code to use the special moves of another fighter.

The idea of Havik being the next villain is insanely exciting for me, Havik is one of my favorite MK characters and this game has done my boy justice.
