I still love this game. At first when it released, I thought it was a little incomplete but what game released these days isn't. MK1 is starting to get its footing. I don't want it to die. I love this franchise too damn much.

I heard that they’re intending to add 16 more characters which would be insane, I think they owe it to us to have MK1 supported for a long time as the start was pretty rough.

MK1 will most likely get huge boost in revenue when the the story extension and KP2 come out which might make them consider longer support, but at the same time it is WB we're talking about; good chance they'll do something stupid or they'll bleed enough money to not be able to do it... have to just wait and see

I feel like at this point they need to come out with a showcase, that shows what's coming up in MK1. And if they do that, they could give a lot of people hope and keep people invested. Marketing has a big role to play in selling a game. So if they came out with like a showcase where they showed off the next DLC with also the story trailer for the continuation story and to show us that there's gonna be new game modes, new DLC characters, new updates, and just like a little snip bit of more things to come.

Tbh i feel the disappointment and am a bit pissed. I expected Konquest..OR Kreate a fighter. Esp since it was teased. Invasions is sick for grinding but idc mk2 and dlcs for mk1 better clutch up

Hypothetically, if WB put me in charge of MK1's future, here's what I would add in the upcoming years: - story expansion; - krypt similar to the one in MK11; - motor kombat (both local and online); - friendships, mercy, stage fatalities; Also, significant more DLCs in Kombat Packs as follows: KP2: Kai, Jarek, Kira, Darkseid, Deadpool, Wolverine (cross promotion with Marvel for the upcoming movie would be insane); KP3: Onaga, Kobra, Chameleon, Shredder, Ash Williams, Pinhead; KP4: Hotaru, Jade, Skarlet, Alucard, Frieza, Guts (anime is mainstream now and all of these would fit perfectly in MK); KP5 would be guests only, a kind of fighting legacy pack: M. Bison, Akuma, Juri, Bayonetta, Fulgore and Kazuya Mishima. I know it's just a dream but still... 😀

Hopefully HOPEFULLY This game moves forward and gets the customization that mk11 had and goes even further beyond. Mk1's gameplay is amazing (personally but i'd love a non kameo mode to make others happy as well) but it feels so weird when a sequel has such inferior customization to an older game.

There’s absolutely no way WB would cancel other opportunities to make more money just because other projects didn’t do as projected. In fact they are MORE likely to release as much content as possible on the only platforms that are doing well.

WB is terrible. Their desire for endless ROI and wanting everything to be a live service is just insane.

I would like to see 'treachery' added... at the end of the fight, you make your opponents cameo team mate turn on them, and hit their fatality. That would be a laugh.

It would be easier for NRS to make friendships for the Kameos instead of 30 base characters would also like to see a 2nd fatal for the kameos

There’s probably going to be a third DLC because the main source of revenue for the game is the game itself, Kombat pack and micro transactions

I really hope eventually they just have tournament play also with no kameos. I feel like it'll completely change the play style of so many characters and make it a 1v1 game

They need to look at what is working like MK and putting the time and fund from the ones like S squad that are failing into the ones that are working. They shouldn’t be cutting things for MK just because other stuff isn’t working. I hope we get a lot more DLC then the story expansion and second Kombat pack I want another story expansion and a 3rd Kombat pack that can be full of fighters that were scraped or canceled from the first timeline and let players see which ones work and which ones don’t so that we can keep the roster and lore full of new fighters.

One thing I would really want to see in the next game is Baraka being dead or can’t fight anymore because the tarkat got to him and other tarktan takes over for him, being like a student. The problem wb has had is that it takes too much money to make these movies. Didn't the aquaman movie loose like 60 million dollars? Not because people aren't interested but they just take so much money to make that they can't make a profit. Games seem to do well but not as of late.

Most of this stuff should have been there for release. It just makes is clearer they launched with less than half a game and charged premium for it. Lesson learned is if they make another wait a few years and buy it on sale.

MK1 has so much players on console, pc, and especially switch. This last patch was a literal game changer in a good way. Plus there were seasonal skins for Quan, soon will be ERMAC, including OoD and OoL skins for them as well. AND they listened to the community about the price of premium skins. $5 a pop now. This game ain’t dying. Netherrealm is starting to listen 🤷🏽‍♂️

There wouldn't be a fear of canceling dlc if wb games had made a more solid game before realeasing it, we basicaly paid full price for a beta, and i'm not yet convinced about the single player content of the game, i didn't even cared to log in after ermac update yet

I hope they add some new game modes like puzzle or chess combat. Something similar to these. Test your luck and stuff like this. It'll be nice to see. Right now I only play online. I'll like to play some offline games like I did for previous MK games

I’m really looking forward to seeing Harumi in MK One I just wish like Tremor she would be a full character and not just a kameo. Also I don’t want to see Harumi as a female Scorpion, I mean I don’t want to see her as the MK2 kameo Scorpion but for her to maybe be dressed like she is in Smoke/Scorpion’s tower ending with her kimono and Katana and while having her as a kameo is good I’d just love to see her as her own fully fledged character with her own moves possibly using a kunai like Scorpion has as I wouldn’t mind her using a kunai. I saw one comment on the video when they said about Harumi being a kameo and the person said “Harumi is gonna be a kameo, it’s just like Janet Cage and can’t we have someone else who has had more than 30 seconds screen time”. And while I can’t argue about Janet Cage as I feel the same but Harumi has been in Mortal Kombat lore for decades, basically from the very start and since the story expansion apparently includes the wedding of Harumi and Kuai Liang it makes even more sense not to mention she’s appears in characters storyline endings too! It’s just a shame in my opinion that we got shitty guest characters taking the places that Tremor and Harumi could’ve had as full characters (guest characters is the only problem I have with Mortal Kombat games since MK9. If I want to play as John Cena I’ll buy 2K24! Ok John Cena doesn’t have a silly helmet and big pistol in 2K24.) I’m just looking forward to playing as Noob Saibot (my 2nd favourite character after General Shao/Shao Kahn)

I so hope and wish for them to be able to finish their vision with this game. Since we apparently got screwed by Covid on mk11’s final dlc. I want all the things they were wanting to bring to this game. I still do believe we’re gonna get a lot of it. Still think we’ll get a “big surprise” thats not the story expansion. If we don’t have the final kpi guess I’ll be okay, but I want the stages and fatalities and modes that they intended for this game to have 😏

I think the "Frenships" should steal your opponent's kameo and dose a fatality n the main opponent character. It lets you be really evil...lol Or, maybe you can fatality their kameo with your kameo.
