Took me awhile to realize that young Kuai Liang looks exactly like his older self in MK11 despite having a new face model. And new VA, not Steve Blum. Nice touch.

If Bi-Han wasn't such a big jerk, he could've freed Kuai Liang as soon as he got unchained and manslaughter everyone in that room, but you gotta keep the Scorpion vs Sub Zero arc going somehow.

I like how this is one of the rare instance where the characters not immediacy breaking out of their captivity makes sense. Bi-Han wants to hear out Shang, and Kuai Liang is probably waiting for some sign from Bi-Han to attack.

Not that it really matters or anything (it matters to me) but Kuai Liang without his mask and with the scar looks PRECISELY like he did in MK3. I can't believe they managed to recreate it that perfectly.

Kinda sad to see Sub-Zero now being made the bad guy in this new timeline, since he was always my favourite. But to see Kuai Liang, who was the good Sub-Zero once, promoted to be the face of the franchise is a nice twist on the story we are familiar with.

Bi-Han made himself a lot more interesting by betraying the clan even Smoke and Scorpion also leaving a scar on the side of his face 😮

Interesting take on Bi Han Being the bad guy because prior games (before becoming Noob Saibot) he was actually a good guy.

It's interesting how Kuai Liang has just always been the better and more skilled brother. When he was the 2nd Sub Zero in the previous timeline, he was arguably one of the most skilled fighters in the lore and became one of the wisest characters as of MK X Now we get him, yet again, proving that he's the legitimate GOAT of the Lin Kuei. Still weird for me to think of him as Scorpion now tho

I’m really liking the changes with Scorpion and Sub Zero. It might also be seen as a massive disservice to bigger fans of Hanzo but Smoke’s ending reveals that when he and Kuai start up the Shirai Ryu, one of the new trainees is a young Hanzo so I guess Liu Kang went “You get peace alright but from the start when you’re just a boy”🤣

Was today years old to find out sub zero was actually the villain, sense 92” 🤯

Kinda bummed that they made Bi-Han bad again, would have liked something different for once. Although, I do have hopes for him to turn it around, because according to the leaks, there will be an expansion story DLC along with KP2 and it will feature Bi-Han's Noob, so ultimately everyone thinks Bi-Han is gonna die and become this. I actually think this is a Bi-Han version of Noob from a different timeline, and not the one from MK 1 currently, cause they could totally pull off the scene where the Bi-Han from this timeline, sees the version of him as Noob from a different one, and could make him realize if he doesn't change his ego or thirst for power, this will always be his fate. So advertently this would change his path and fate and maybe even alignment. Which brings me to Hanzo, if you've seen Smokes ending, cause within that same expansion story, they could pull off a scene where Smokes training Hanzo and Hanzo starts to get the fire ability like Kuai, (which everyone immediately thinks this is gonna be role reversal from Kuai to Sub and Hanzo back to Scorp, but I don't think thats the case.) But at that point I think Bi-Han's Noob from the other timeline will intervene and invade, causing a fight to erupt between Smoke and Noob. (which could be the first time we fight against him in the story.) Then after you win, there's a cutscene that plays during the fight, where Noob gets the upper hand and is about to finish Smoke, then Hanzo comes running up behind with a flaming fist, headed straight for Noob but Noob turns around and just in time catches him by the wrist and speaks "I sense a darkness within you, let me bring it out of the shadows." Then the dark shadow powers from Noob radiates and slowly turns the flame that's building within Hanzo's fist into a dark shadowy mist, completely turning Hanzo's eyes all black, and putting him in a trance. Just before Kuai appears and sends his spear without hesitation at Noob, causing Noob to teleport and disappear, dropping Hanzo's unconscious but alive body. Implying he's gonna be the Noob of this Era and timeline but will be different because he's technically still alive and human. I think that would be badass imo.

So where is Hanzo Hasashi???

You know like many I was mixed about making Scorpion into Kuai Liang but I grew to like this Idea to Loving It, we never seen the Brothers in conflict before one becomes a Wraith and the fact that Bi-Han killed his Father is both obvious and very accurate to his Character as Ofcourse he’s so Narcissistic and Egotistical on his Twisted Vision that it cost his 2 Brothers to go against him and Kuai Liang got his famous Scar, the Mark of a Traitor and a symbol of Opening his Eyes to the Truth that with Thomas and his Beloved’s Help they will Build the Shirai Ryu as a Bright Future in Scorpion and Smoke’s Endings, also it good to hear from Sektor and Cyrax that perhaps they will be DLC in the Future and in the Next Game and I have a strange feeling Frost will be Bi-Han’s Daughter? But that last part is simply a Speculation,plus Daisuke Tsuji does a fantastic Scorpion Voice and Kuai Liang giving Dairou…. I mean Havik scars by Melting Gold was really Clever as it shows his Healing Factor has some flaws like Deathstroke’s.

My only gripe with the MK franchise as a whole is how they butcher Japanese words. "Raiden" isn't supposed to be "Raydin" or "Reiden".... it's "Ry-den." Even worse than that is "Shirai Raiu".... as they say. When it's actually just "Shirai Ryu." Ryu is just one syllable. Just like Tokyo isn't "Tokaio" and Kyoto isn't "Kaioto." But unfortunately they've been butchering those words for ages now, so there's no changing it. At least the characters and gameplay have always been cool, which is why I've been playing (since the cultural appropriation is filthy af). I'm pretty sure they also butchered Takeda's name in MKX, but I don't remember very well. I find it a miracle than they actually pronounce Hanzo Hasashi right. I just hope they don't add any more characters with Japanese names for them to potentially butcher the pronunciation of in the future.
