I love all versions of this couple. FINALLY THE MK9 VERSIONS GOT THEIR KISS. Liu absolutely visits Titan Kitana timeline time and time again and they just enjoy each other's company.

A hundred per cent. But then he also lost his immortality, so I hope this means we're getting yet another Liu Kang in the future, like, the human version from a timaline like Kitana's (where he's in his place, and not in Raiden's, but there's no Kitana, so he kinda gets to the timeline there's no him and lives there, because it's a better life and Kitana and Liu desrve to be happy), because I'm a hundred per cent sure they won't make Raiden and Kitana a thing (partially because of the intros I've just watched, abd also because of the fact the Kitana of Liu Kang's timeline isn't just interested in who he is in the otger ytimelines, but also acknoweledges her and Liu are great partners), and I also know they can't possibly be thinking of getting rid of Liu Kang at all, and when there're both Liu Kang and Kitana, do we seriously go for anything different? (And I also felt so robbed when Raiden said the curcumstance line, like Liu and Kitana own it, it's literally always shitty around them, like, why) And I also think that Raiden's still bound to fall into his usual role, especially if we're getting yet another Liu Kang (and specifically if he needs some training)

@@troll_of_ficbook That “I hope we meet under different circumstances.” Line STAYS with Liu and Kitana because something is always robbing them of happiness. Soon as they even hold hands THE WORLD IS ENDING!!!! I’m getting tired of them always getting separated. They need a week off to just be with each other without anyone getting in their way.

@@itrobort6996 Yeah according to her arcade ladder ending there was a Titan Kitana but the Kitana that Liu Kang has with him is from the same timeline as him within The Pre Aftermath Timeline who came from the past into the present along with him in The Pre Aftermath Timeline and now they are both in The New Era Timeline. But New Era Kitana is in love with Raiden.

It's good to see them finally embrace lovingly. It's also sad to see Liu Kang (and the other titans) give up the life they had for a role that just sprung up on them. Liu Kang has to be the wise fearless leader to the champions but when he sees another titan, and the one he loved, he can feel vulnerable and show a side of emotions he can't really show others. Damn, this game is great

Showing the MK 9 scene gave me chills. Liu Kang never stopped loving Kitana, even in the original timeline. What I love about this game is Liu Kang's character development as a God. He gave up his needs selflessly and wanted everyone to have a greater and brighter destiny. As the Keeper of Time, it's sad cause you can't control anyone's destinies. They are mean't to be who they are mean't to become, no matter what you do.

It scorches my heart on how true that statement is. After everything they’ve done defending the realms across all timelines together, they deserve a happy ending at least. But have they ever gotten one? No, because the writers can act like nut jobs and total jerks.

@ninja9567 they can't be happy because kombat requires problems. Of all the couples Liu and Kitana deserve the peace. But as soon as they even hold hands THE WORLD IS IN DANGER!!!! I'm getting tired of it. This couple has the longest slow burn ever. And I doubt we'll ever see a timeline where those two are at peace. Even if we do it won't be for long.

Also, notice how Raiden goes "your fates have always been intertwined" in MK11, and in Geras' epilogue in MK1 Geras says that the events left the timelines intertwined. I mean, I know it's not that much, but Kitana does use "likewise" un response to Liu Kang both times presented here in this video, and all the other circumstances are pointing at the fact that there should be another (human) Liu Kang. So it's not just titants versions of them, but the new ones, too, just out of different timelines

Clive and Jill was more romantic because they spent the whole game developping it as a proper romance, as it was part of the game’s main focus. It’s just the nature of the games, it’s a bit unfair to compare both as FF16 spent way more time developing their relationship on-screen. Liu Kang and Kitana was more cathartic because despite this being a fighting game and developing a game-long romance wasn’t really a main focus, they have also teased and pushed this relationship here and there for literal decades so we, as the fans, finally get some closure. At least that’s my interpretation.
