I love how Liu Kang went from violently murdering Shang Tsung to calmly posing without skipping a beat

I love how relatively quickly they confirm mileena, to avoid the shit show that was people yelling at them to bring her back for most of MK 11's run.

I love how when Scorpion and Sub-Zero come into frame and as they’re looking at each, like ready to fight, they slowly exhale and relax. I know people might not agree with those two being brothers in this timeline but I do like it. Hanzo needs a freaking break!

i just love how in this trailer Shang Tsung is a menace, while in Story he's just chill

It's actually really refreshing to see Sub-Zero and Scorpion not trying to fight eachother in the reveal trailer for once.

After beating the story, this makes so much more sense now. This game is definitely a 10/10

I was 10 when the first Mortal Kombat was released. You have to respect that they've managed to keep the series alive for thirty years and it's probably more popular now than ever.

MK has been around for 30 years and I still get the “oh, snap” when I see a new fatality. Amazing how they can keep things fresh for so long.

I love how quickly the game will come after this insane announcement, like they're not torturing us but still delivering the right amount of trailers at the same time I've also never been this hype for a Mk story

This is the most beautiful a major fighting game has looked. Netherrealm has really been pushing Mortal Kombat toward a more human, grounded tone, which really clashes with the extreme kitschy, over-the-top goriness because MK has to be MK. They're definitely aware of the friction, it's almost like two different studios are working on the game.

One thing I love is that when the original MK came out all the politicians were freaking out about the violence and how it would affect kids...30 years later we see the only effect it had was giving kids great memories of playing with their friends and families. MK forever.

The fact that they've ended so many old classic rivalries is so good. I love where 11 brought Subzero and Scorpion. Seeing the rest have peace is so nice!

Looking back, I honestly thought we'd be given decisions throughout the story based on the trailer. Everyone's paths were pretty straightforward from the start. Sub-Zero was set from the start to be a bad guy/turn. He and Scorpion fought as brothers for about 10 minutes of cutscenes.

Crazy how they just announced this game 3 months ago and it almost being released

Raiden and Kung Lao as retired shaolins. Kitana and Mileena as princesses. Scorpion and Sub-Zero as brothers in kombat. Shang Tsung out of nowhere killing them all. And Liu Kang showing no mercy or holding back with him. This is indeed a new era, and we are close to see it rise.

I love how the timeliness reset isn't just a complete reboot like nothing happened form MK9. Instead it's blending into the already existing Mk universe. I can't wait

I love how easily Liu Kang deals with Shang Tsung. It’s almost like he know exactly what Shang Tsung is gonna do and he kicks him down like nothing. Really shows how far Liu Kang has come

I love how suddenly his voice changes at 1:53 when his voice was calm and peaceful (like his human self is talking) and at 1:57 it suddenly changes to Menacing and Destructive (like an angry god you don't wanna mess with).

Mortal Kombat has come a long way after 30 years. And I remember playing the original arcade, and Sega Genesis games when they first came out.

Liu kang as a god is the most awesome character in MK, hopefully Liu Kang will Stay that way. MK Forever.

As someone who was there for Mortal Monday 30 years ago, its incredible to see how far this series has come. Looking forward to calling up some old friends from elementary and reliving some memories on September 19.

Never get tired of watching this. Probably my favorite reveal trailer of any Netherrealm Studios work. Just beat the story a couple days ago and so far I'm still enjoying this game.

This franchise has been a constant in my life since I was a kid, glad to see that they didn't disappoint.

I absolutely love how simple the new logo is. It looks traditionally hand drawn, like a fresh new beginning from the scratch as the theme of the game suggests

After seeing Sad Tsung in the MK story, the way he is revealed is satisfying asf and lowkey badass.

How the development team manages to out-gross themselves when it comes to fatalities I'll never know. Threse are all so over-the-top horrible and bloody, and I love it.

I remember walking into the arcade and seeing MK for the first time. Actually hearing it before seeing it because the crowd around it was so big. So many memories forged around this franchise and friendships still to this day.

Liu Kang is so powerful now, I'm really interested to see how the story unfolds because clearly he could just step in and solve literally any threat.

Spoiler alert to those who still havent finished the story but to those who already have and still dont understand, the shang we see here in this trailer is not the man we see in the story. Apart from titan shang we get to see at the end, the shang we get to play as still does not have the ability steal any soul (although he steals kung lao's soul in this trailer). However his tower ending will reveal how he learns to control souls. So my speculation is what we see in this trailer isnt what we actually saw at the ending of the mk1 story. The new era shang will never be called shang tsung if he cant steal a single soul. But the trailer shows him otherwise which means theres more to the story. And come to think of it, the red ring in the sky we see here was never shown in the actual story. Correct me if I'm wrong and I'm glad to hear others opinion also. And I hope everything will be revealed in the next expansion or in another aftermath continuation of the story soon.

Is it weird that I don’t play mortal Kombat but I still get excited for it. I love the the storylines and of course seeing how creative they are with the new fatalities. And the hype and hints at the guest characters. MK marketing is so good.

I absolutely love how Scorpion & Sub-Zero (and some other characters) look. Everything feels authentic, not too cartoony.

The way they rebooted this franchise whilst also keeping it connected to the original time line and the MK 11 ending is genius. Shout out to Ed Boon and the rest of Netherrealm!

As an original MK1 player in the early 90's this is absolutely amazing specially now for PS5. Who would have thought something this detailed for a MK would ever come out. Now lets see how the game play is hopefully there no lag.
