People rightly give her shit for some indeed atrocious lines, but I feel this is weirdly similar to Rhonda Rousey in MK11, in that some lines are absolutely terrible but there is that precious few that actually sound pretty good.

I still think that the rewriting of these characters is super good for the most part. I also love that characters like Rain, Reptile, Baraka, and Reiko have actual personality now and aren't just mindless goons to be sent and get defeated.

Shao is a disappointment tho. He would have been much better as an Anti-Hero or having a redemption arc than just repeat Stock Villain. Hes already had 4 games as a Villain...

New Reiko is disgusting ngl, "oppression" this "oppression" that. It gets tiring hearing the same thing after a while. At least the old Reiko taught Shujinko about the art of chaos in a cooler way and his old design is much better imo. The others are decent.

@@CelticVictory it's more that Havik has a cause and Smoke not helping means in his eyes he opposes it, therefore Smoke is against the anarchy and chaos he desired. By definition it's contradictory, but it's contradictory in a sense that not every opinion weighs the same, so for him it isn't contradictory. So in his eyes: Seido is fascist and he wants it to be overthrown, so everyone who does not want to help overthrow it, condones it and is also fascist and needs to be killed.

One I like for the roast, even if the roast target isn't in the room: "One Shaolin down, one to go." "What did you hurt worse, Kung Lao's body or his ego?" Tanya casually telling Raiden that she's gonna whoop his ass like she did Kung Lao. And Raiden, for his part, COMPLETELY UNCOWED. Fires back with a dig at Kung Lao of his OWN that shows he's confident he'll still stand tall without the Amulet. And yet the mood is chill. This is a friendly match for them, even with the jabs!

0:47 I was just thinking about that lol Considering Lui Kang had to "cheat" by giving Raiden the amulet (although it prob justs unlocks latent abilities) to even the odds. Meanwhile the Lin Kuei already has super powers and trained since childhood.

No he explicitly said that it gives the wielders lightning powers. Raiden is literally powerless (as in super powers) without it. But he is not alone. If you noticed, none of the Earthrealmers (except for Scorpion/Sub-zero ) have innate powers in this timeline. Smoke had to learn 'practical magic', Johnny doesn't have green powers, Kung Lao doesn't have teleport powers, Kenshi doesn't have psychic powers (without Sento).
