We lost the original Scorpion, the Scorpion that we’ve been playing as since the first game. The Scorpion that killed Quan-Chi and found peace and restored his clan. This is really depressing. We lost the original

It was this moment that made me cry and realize even a person with anger and hate and rage inside can find inner peace scorpion was truly my favorite growing up and seeing the OG scorpions death hit me in the heart but also made me happy that he died after finding peace and finally revived the shiri ryu to the glory rest easy old friend

Yes. What I liked about Hanzo's death is that it was given a bit of reverence and time to breathe. Unlike Baraka or Mileena he didn't go out in a horrible agonizing scene, but in a calm way; doing the right thing and putting his old self on the path to redemption in the process. After all he's been through and how far he's come. The music and the transition were excellent and it's probably the first time I've felt such a mixture of sadness and pride for a character in an MK game during their death. Usually MK deaths leave you with a lot of negative feelings of shock or anger or dismay. But Hanzo's death was a heroic one, and though sad, it was beautiful. One of the few MK character deaths that I'd consider cry-worthy.

3:16 What I find awesome about this moment is that Hanzo *instantly* knew what Scorpion was going to try, because he knows himself better than anyone. Then, he counters it easily, showing the difference of 28 years of experience. Just such brilliant and subtle storytelling.

I’m already imagining Scorpion’s story in the next MK game: Scorpion (the one who’s still alive) goes out to hunt down and kill Dvorah, but of course he needs at least three separate fights before he can kill the bug woman. I think Sub-zero (the one who made peace with Hanzo) should be the one to test if Scorpion is truly ready to take Dvorah down. Sub loses and Scorpion goes and takes out anyone in his way. When Scorpion arrives at Dvorah’s hideout, the two attack each other and begin to FIGHT. Scorpion wins and Dvorah tries poisoning him like with Hanzo but he reminds her she can’t kill who is already dead. Scorpion begins cutting away at her limbs one by one, forcing Dvorah to run away with her back legs but Scorpion spears her and pulls her in and tears off her last pair of legs before finally using his hellfire to burn her and every bug inside her to a crisp. Hanzo has been avenged

Unlikely. Hanzo was telling Scorpion that hunting revenge is a fools errand. If he gets revenge it will not be because he was hunting her for revenge.

Yeah it’s honestly depressing. Scorpion thinks it’s all about biological blood that makes you worthy when others have the potential to be greater and represent a betterment for his clan. I think that’s what hit Scorpion the most, a fantastic line from Hanzo.

This death really pissed me off. Hanzo got his humanity back and I was hoping we'd see him move forward from the death of his family. I wanted to see where he would go as a character ever since making peace with Sub zero. Then NRS decides to have that boring ass bug bitch kill him. That just ain't right.

Brandon Cabello Guerrero In my opinion, it’s Quan Chi. He turned 4 characters into revenants that we never got to see again. I wanted Enenra (Smoke) to become human again in this game but we didn’t get it. He also almost made Johnny another revenant as well, which got me heated.

Actually they do and don't. I mean, yep, considering that we've already seen Scorpion reddeming himself, all those encounters look absolutely senseless. But just think of it on the other hand: you just see a man who doubtlessly followed your arch-enemy's bidding. Promised you to keep a man alive but yet murdered him. And then he apparently promises you peace and aid. Would you beleive him? Well, yes and no. Yes - because you wouldn't expect him to do this volunteerely, and his O. O. C. might be a really serious business. No - because obviously enough, this can't look serious after everything that man has done. So, for all violation of logic in MK plots, this one looks pretty convincing.
