Welcome to another Mortal Kombat 11 video!
With Spawn only a few mere weeks away, In todays video I wanted to talk about Al simmons, how did he come to be spawn as well as some of the allies and enemies he has had along the way, I hope that In todays video It allows you all to become abit familiar with what Spawn Is all about!
On top of this we look into his creation and how he came to be as Its pretty interesting to me with how he came to be, being a huge comic book buff myself I find it extremely interesting how he came to be!

Well it doesn't really matter because way later in the spawn comics, he becomes divine spawn and no longer has the limitation of imagination because he has all mighty knowledge.

Little known facts about spawn that wasn’t covered in the video 1) even though spawn’s power is necroplasm and slowly drains over time spawn actually developed the ability to drain the sins of humans to replenish is necroplasm. 2) his suit is a separate entity called luetha of the 7th house of K, and is completely independent of spawn which means the suit can take on opponents by itself while Simmons focuses on other matters I am a long time fan and I also watched the animated show on hbo during the late 90’s

He had met Eve the mother of all and she gave him god like power his suit redesign was epic he had angel wings and he was more powerful than god and malebogia banished them both from reality remade the world in his image then surrendered the power and became a hellspawn again I wish he would have kept the power and shifted between his angel and hellspawn forms becoming a uberboss hybrid

The Spawn movie that came out in the 90's was a guilty pleasure of mine to watch and at one point in the comics Spawn became so powerful that he put both God and the Devil "in timeout" and ruled the universe himself for a little bit.

Of course in Soul Calibur 2, Spawn used a battle axe that was his cape transformed. So I kinda want to see that in the game too, I mean the axe is the logo as well. :)

The suit Simmons wears is named Leethra of the Seventh House of K, and it feeds, also, on the sins of those around it. The more sins, the more it can feed.

@TruMusic89 That is correct. The suit is also impervious to all weapons save those of divine origin. I also believe that as the suit feeds on the sins, it refills the necroplasm counter.

Actually his necro plasma counter can be refilled and boosted. He has to kill and cosume other hell spawn and other creature's that use it but it could essentially run endless.

Hey man thanks for this video. I have a friend who is a huge Spawn fan and he keeps talking about him but I didn’t know anything about spawn. Now thanks to this video I finally understand why he likes this character so much and now I’m a fan of this character and why so many people want him in Mortal Kombat.

I highly recommend you watch the animated series it's really good especially the first season it's very accurate to the early comic books but much more violent.

There's also the fact that his suit can replenish its supply of necroplasm by literally feeding on the sins and evil of his foes and even locations steeped in evil, suffering and sin will feed his suit. Kind of how he's been able to fight the agents of hell for so long is because he can feed off of their negative and demonic energies. Not to mention that his powers are literally limited only by his imagination. Spawn is pretty much the most powerful hero/anti-hero of any comic book 'verse out there, dude.

Actually, K7 Leetha (Spawn's symbiote) is highly sentient. So much so that it can protect Spawn even if Al is unconscious or unresponsive. It pretty much obeys only him, and doesn't try to act independently, unless Al is unconscious and cannot protect himself. Also, Necroplasm can be replaced, so although it can run out, he can source it from negativity, or negative creatures/emotions...feeding on their negativity to restore some necroplasm.

I really only know Spawn from the television series. But listening to this and many other explanations really makes the comics sound like a whole different rabbit hole and a somewhat intimidating one at that.

You made a mistake. Venom was inspired by Spawn. Spawn was created when Todd was very, very young. He used some of his old Spawn ideas and Spiderman to create Venom.

IIRC, Todd McFarlane wasn't the one who separated Spider-Man from the symbiote, nor was he the one who came up with the idea of Venom. He was the first person to _illustrate_ Venom, and is thus credited as a co-creator for his contribution to the character's design.

In the latest issue of Spawn he kills a medieval spawn that is sent out by the Vatican and he kills him and takes his sword it seems like at this point the sword has powers from heaven and also spawn imbued it with powers from hell. So I think this is the sword he will have in the game unless it's completely uncanon.

Spawn was and still is my favourite comic character growing up. Glad to see the young bloods getting onto this now. Hopefully we can expect a great movie out of all this soon! (And maybe a next gen God of war mixed with batman Arkham type game)

Very well done, I've read a bunch of the comics "Not all, but a BIG chunk" and from my recollection of the comics, you only got one thing wrong. Malebolgia isn't the Devil, He is one of the rulers of hell though.

The first time i saw spawn when i was younger i thought it was venom just a different form or maybe an alternate venom from another universe. Venom being my favorite marvel villain i liked spawn and now it makes sense since the guy who made venom made spawn its funny how things connect

The classic Hollywood action movie "SPAWN' was my favorite one at the time but the next episode didn't show in the end. Now that Hollywood moviemaking companies don't have enough ideas to make their other Superhero movie, they should have thought the next story of Spawn who is hell's warrior.

Spawns suit is actually alive its name is Leetha from the 7th house of K , spawn and leetha have a telepathic connection all spawn has to do is think about what he wants and the leetha dose it . And I some cases leetha is shown having a mind of its own by teleporting spawn out of harms way

I only know spawn from two sources. The live action movie from the 90's as well as the HBO special done a couple years later. Neither was amazing but he's still a really cool character and they can do a lot with him in a fighting game like MK11. I just hope someone out there decides he's worthy of a badass solo game after his debut cause I'd like to learn more about him.

K7-Leetha (Al's Spawn Symbiote) actually does develop a personality of itself. The Spawn symbiotes are created in the 4th Sphere of Hell and are attached to their host in the 8th Sphere.

I am so damn glad that Spawn in Mortal Kombat is something I got to witness in my lifetime. MK guest slots are generally awesome regardless, but Spawn being included is a big deal for me.
