Indeed. It’s probably cause the PS2 , XBOX, Wii, and GameCube we’re already outdated and the PS3 and 360 we’re already rolling out.

This game would've been cool if you unlocked characters super quickly like in Smash ultimate. Maybe starting with the base MK1 roster and working your way up

Funny thing about the MK Deception posters, they still appear in the stages files in the retail build. As well as some leftover assets from Deception such as the beta startup logo.

Not to mention on final version, it has a footage of konquest beta with Taven using bow and arrow. Lots of things was removed to final version. My childhood has been ruined when I notice it was beta only.

I was thinking the same I was so hyped when they announced every character in one game but they did way too fast the fatalities were lackluster and I clearly remember reading what Ed Boon had quoted about going forward in the gen consoles that he didn’t see goin into it with these characters he was looking to build new and fresh from the ground up

I think Taven still uses that old win pose in arcade/versus mode. I know that prayer pose is exclusive to konquest mode

I was expecting in the E3 Footage of the Konquest, more like the greatest preview gameplay you can see in the Krypt.

That stuff is what made the krypt so cool back in the day. One of my favorite parts of those games was getting the concept art. In those games they actually explained concepts and why they didn't pan out. Some even pointed out stage lore or objects you wouldn't notice during gameplay. It felt like they cared more about that stuff then. Today you just get some shitty picture with no explanation to look at for 5 seconds.

The Konquest cutscenes didn’t really go with it makes sense why they actually added cutscenes. The deception character select music still goes well here.

Fact: The ????? ?????? in the E3 demo was the Motor Kombat Mini Game Option, it was probably before that Racing Mini Game was announced.

This game had so much potential if they mixed konquest mode with elements of deception and Shaolin monks like they were doing woulda been goat have 1 unique fatality atleast for each charcter and having every characters expet the bosses with 3 fighting styles would have been amazing I woulda waited for a few more years if that was case

If I am not mistaken, somewhere in Konquest gameplay before release was shown that Taven can take the sword with him everywhere, and you can see it on his back. In final build there are only some beat em up moments with weapons only for those situations. And If I am not mistaken, my PS2 MK Armageddon box cover had screenshots with Taven with his sword on his back, and I spent years thinking, how did I miss sword in Konquest...

Yea that was a very early build of the game. Basically alpha or beta Konquest gameplay. It’s in the Kyrpt of Armageddon. During the E3 it was removed

I think in the bell tower stage you could uppercut the enemy to the death trap during the fight, and in the final version you can only uppercut him when the fight ends.

...they didn't. Taven only uses the "prayer" in Konquest when he wins. He will do Shujinko's victory pose in Arcade/Versud modes (Daegon also does Shujinko's winning pose.)

My PCSX2 version is 1.6.0 (you can download that version on their website) Renderer: Direct3D 11 (Hardware) Adapter: it’s your graphics card so click it Interlacing: Automatic (Default) Texture Filtering: Bilinear (PS2) Internal Resolution: 4x Native (1440p 2K) or 3x Native (1080p) Anisotropic Filtering is off (default) Mipnapping (INS) automatic (default) CRC Hack Level Automatic (Default) Date accuracy is off Blending accuracy: Basic (Recommended) Enable HW Hacks and click advanced settings and hacks Click disable safe features, fast texture invalidation and frame buffer conversion. I also have PCSX2 v1.7.3603 but that one runs a little off so that’s why I use the old version cause it runs better on some games.

This what I think,they needed take one year off,make fatalities for everyone if it’s create a fatality then every person should have unique animations for ending,unlock characters always was fun to do
