Music for MKT is a little bit slower (with exception of MK2 music), also developers changed music for some of MK2 arenas.

I prefer this version over the MK3 version. With the lowered pitch and speed it sounds a bit more demonic. Very fitting for Shao Kahn.

I can agree. The MKT versions of songs for the Outworld stages (Pit 3/Blacony, Soul Chamber, The Temple) sound more sinister than their MK3 versions, that for me sound a bit "upbeat" in comparison. As of the Earthrealm stages (Subway, The Streets, Rooftop), however, I still stick to their original tracks.

One of the problems with Mortal Kombat X is that it has no memorable music at all. They took a risk by featuring no classic environments/ music at launch and to me, it doesn't really feel like Mortal Kombat.

TymesRhymes And that is exactly one of the main characteristics that made the original trilogy so memorable for a whole generation. It was not really that much about the gameplay, but rather the whole environment that comes from the amalgamation of stage design, music and the background fiction plot. Unfortunately you don't find any of that in the latest games, although the reboot was awesome, arguably the Magnun Opus of the Franchise.

Agreed, MK1, 2, 3, Deception and Armageddon had some of the best tracks. And the MK2 title theme should have been the flag theme period.

The version of the pit where you fight reptile in the original mortal kombat 1 in my opinion was more gory looking than what they did in mk 9 and in mk11 krypt. I mean it looks basic but the fact there are human bodies and heads etc hanging off the spikes make it look like a horror movie scene. Just my opinion

The good thing about mk trilogy is all characters from part 1 - 3 returned, the bad thing about it is music (low pitched mk3 music and no mk1 music)

@@bigsmoke5884 its 4 month later and I still play MK 9 and X (X due to its fluid and good mechanics and dark atmosphere). Mk11 honestly sucks. It's not dark and feel like a different game to me.
