REWORK IDEA: For this they NEED to add a knockout effect (basically a spawn timer) for 0.5-1 seconds for the goblin when it lands so it only gets 1 hit instead of 2.

Every evolution should cost something more in addition to their original elixir cost. Be it, +1 elixir or completely new mechanic like dark elixir or whatever they were testing in behind the scenes. If they cost the same as their normal counterparts, they will almost always be broken.

Imagine if the x-bow evolves into the blast bow from CoC’s Clan Capital and does high splash damage with a range just like the mortar

I think that the evolved royal giant will be really good at countering the evolved mortar, since it can shoot the mortar and take out the goblin at the same time.

The annoying thing about barb launcher months ago was the fact that when the mortar locked to the tower, the was no way to distract the barb as it would hit the tower %100 of the time. Now that being in actual games just sound so irritating to me honestly.

Even just having the extra speed will be completely enough for an evolution. I get that adding a goblin makes it interesting but it does not need both an attack speed and attack enhancement buff.

What you said about there being no counterplay is spot on. I already feel that way about evolved royal giant. The only way to counter it is to throw everything in my deck at it, at which point I lose anyway because I'm down so much elixir. I'm really glad for evolutions as a mechanic, but I think they'll be a lot better when they figure out how to balance them.

I think we should half the super mortar damage and give it less health. Would make it balanced and not broken

Surely Monk would add some counterplay potential. It would also be interesting to see interactions with the goblin that spawns when the shot lands.

It would be cool if they made an evolved guards become a mecha giant skeleton, with 700 shield HP and 20 HP (total HP of all guards combined, which when dead drops a bomb that deals 240 damage (balloon bomb) and 3 normal skeletons. A budget giant skeleton for 3 elixir would be fun, stats could be swapped around.

Look at the how happy oj is at the barbarian mortar (albeit a variation similar to it) being a permanent card

Here’s some evolutions I think would be cool: double x-bow, sparky with a shield, skeleton barrel dropping guards, royal mother witch (turning cards into royal hogs), archers getting a weaker version of their super ability, hog rider getting it’s Terry ability back, miner with a health buff and the mighty miner ability, lumberjack dropping clone and rage and able to break the log, Valkyrie with a similar ability to the evolved barbs, all 3 wizards and battle healer being able to spawn their abilities spirit every 2 attacks, princess gets a shield, Phoenix gets less respawn time and infinite respawns, royal recruits all dropping like the royal delivery, ice golem gets a weaker version of his super version and without king tower activation, giant gets to walk over swarms and other troops as it walks dealing damage, fisherman being able to pull spells very quickly, graveyard spawns at bridge or wherever you want in your side and spawns around 6 wall breakers over the course of 24 seconds, Giant skeleton get a blindfold making it a win condition with a slight bomb nerf

The wifi emote is the best thing they’ve done so far in the game, I usually do e-wiz self shock then the angry king emote to show I was lagging, but this simplifies and makes it more clear 👌

Think of this as the barbarian launcher

preety cool evo. for a counter the best is probably bowler hes ground so the mortar can target him hes ranged so he wont go in the blindspot and he splashes so he can take care of the goblin

I feel like making the mortars blind spot much smaller would be a good balance change. Mid range units could take it out from a distance while mortar is locked onto them instead of tower.

imagine they add multiple evolution ideas to a single card, and you can pick between either the rage effect of the barbs, or say, another evolution where they hold a sheild above their head and deflect spells lol

The only way I see it to be not OP is that its range could not target the tower from across the bridge. 1 cycle, so the evolution would instead be used as a defensive card that would support the ordinary version that could target the tower from across the bridge. Or you know, give it a function so that damaging the mortar would also damage the goblin inside when damaging the mortar itself, so like, damage mortar=damage goblin inside mortar.

the only thing about that wifi emote is that ppl will use it when they lose even if they didn't lose connection as like an excuse. i think it would be cool if they had a way where you could only use the emote if the wifi symbol showed up in your game

imo, an evolution should cost 1 extra elixir to add a risk to running one as theyre super strong, but to also tweak them to equal the value, e.g. evo 2 elixir skeletons could survive zap type damage like goblins

The “dark elixir” in this game to me looks more like the Coc builder base elixir than the oil-looking dark elixir in that game

They must've seen an opportunity with the mortar after the Barbarian Mortar. A way to make it more balanced could be to slow the fire rate to 0.5 sec less than a standard mortar or to reduce the damage of the evolved one entirely.
