I’ve been following a couple from Ontario that provide investing advice and creative financing. One strategy They talk about is using none of your own money to acquire assets. Borrow the down payment from private lenders and then go to the bank for the remainder of the mortgage 80% . So 20% for the down payment and then the bank gives you a mortgage of the 80%. Of course there will be some fees to be paid out of pocket. Currently have a primary home and just refinanced last year to get my first rental income home, so the refinance option is not feasible at this time. Are you able or interested in assisting with creative financing like the example I provided. I am too a fellow Canadian 🇨🇦 Thanks for your time.

I wanna go the route of refinancing my home here in Canada...its almost paid off, so there is a decent amount of equity available. Plus, I have some savings... Thank you for the info!

Good morning from the Beach! Financing for mortgages in DR are available but the interest rates are even more expensive than Canada …. Currently with one bank (Banco Santa Cruz) the entry interest rate is 10.95% / 15 years amortization … so when you compare to Canada for example 5-7% interest and a 25 year amortization… you see my point. The best form of financing will always be a refinance of your home or income property asset in Canada and being the funding to the beach! Sometimes owner financing is also available for a limited time 1-3 years plus construction financing with split payments.
