I'm still a bid sad everyone call this genre depressive black metal. For me it's what post rock is to rock for black metal. Just a super calm and harmonic version of the basic stuff which makes it more emotive for most.

They call it depressive black metal because it is. Most of the album is composed by dissonance all the time, melancholic notes instead of evil and anguished vocals instead of agressive. That's dbm.

@@soulrupture I think it's not depressive enough to be DSBM or anything, just melancholic bm, there is plenty of such music in BM in general
