I'm from Nigeria and I love this film so much. This is a timeless classic indeed. Epic!. Our struggle for independence (1960) wasn't this bloody in my country Nigeria, but the aftermath, which was the 3 years civil war btw 1967 to 1970 was very bloody according to my parents and grandparents. Hmmmm... Africa. Those whom death denied!

Sou português . Não condeno o povo da Guiné-Bissau por ter lutado pela sua independencia, é um direito ligítimo . Fui sempre contra a guerra do ultramar que nunca devia ter começado . Havia outros meios de aceder a independencia sem passar pela guerra , por vias de um referendo. Mas só que Salazar era um ditador e um ditador não sabe o que é um referendo e por isso escolheu a pior das opções. Tantas vidas perdidas que podiam ter sido evitadas . Agora a minha pergunta é, será que a Guiné-Bissau está melhor agora ? Eu penso que não . Mas não podemos vir para trás . Ninguém pode refazer a história do seu país. Desejo tudo de melhor para a Guiné - Bissau líderes do seu próprio destino outro tipo de lutas vão continuar e para sempre, para tentar encontrar as vias de felicidade do povo Guineense .

Guiné Bissau em seu primeiro longa-metragem. A guerra contra Portugal para adquirir independência. Pouca coisa foi falado em português no filme. Ainda assim é um excelente filme.

I think the first guinea Bissau film was Called "N''turrudu" by director umban ukset, a year before this one. This is more like Flora Gomez first feature film.

Bom filme, mas perde muito por ser só em Criolo e também por não mostrar a verdeira luta do PAIGC. Eu tive na Guiné de 72 a 74 porque fui obrigado. Lamentável esse povo maravilhoso hoje não estar melhor depois de tanta luta pela independência, culpa de muitos políticos. Façam um filme da verdadeira guerrilha e terá muito êxito. Grande abraço ❤

SOU SUIçO e aprendi portugues no Centro de Estudos Brasileiros (CEI) em Roma. Quiz fazer um mestrado em Estudos Africanos na Africa, mas sò tinha no Gana e na Africa do Sul. Enviei documentos para as duas universidades. Paguei a inscriçao (200 dolares). Mandei mais de 20 e-mails para as duas universidades e eles diziam que estava tudo bem com os documentos. Lihuei para varios numeros de telefone e estava sempre tudo bem e que eu deveria esperar. No final, eles me disseram que esuqceram de ver os meus documentos, mas que eu poderia esperar para me escrever no ano seguinte, mas ainscriçao deste anos jà nao valia mais. Infelizmente, na minha opiniao a grandissima maioria dos problemas da Africa teem base nos africanos mesmos. Desculpas! Acabei fazendo o curso na Europa mesmo.
