The Whistler of Europe some say - Morzine is a MUST ride destination for everyone. In this video I hit up the bike trails from easiest to hardest on the Super Morzine gondola in the Zor area of trails. It's the ideal first place to hit up when you get into town and you can get so many laps in.

well was in morzine this summer... rain for about 3 months straight, i was only there for 4 days but it pored down every day without failure. Da Train and the black line where just unridable, anything that had roots to hold the mud and trees to make sure it did not evaporate for that matter. the woods where just a no go situation

Scott made a good investment giving you that bike. These videos are rather different from seeing all those professional dh racers going absolutely crazy. We can literally see your skills progressing as you slowly start unlocking the bike's potential. Which I imagine is pretty encouraging to a lot of viewers to go out and have fun on their own bikes.

Sick riding, Morzine is amazing and a must visit destination for any mountain biker ... Best way to handle those roots is speed ... The faster the easier.

If your planning on going, you need to check on the opening dates for the lifts. I planned on going, last year driving from the UK. I ended up going to Verbier in Switzerland because the lifts in France close earlier in the year.

At 2:57 is where it all went wrong last year. Collar bone, ribs and solaplexis went "boom". What I have found interesting is seeing you struggle in the Morzine "gloop" where as your riding on the west coast has gone from strength to strength in all weather (OK, maybe not your single track multi day stage racing!!!). That said, looks like the Gambler is giving you confidence. Will be interesting to hear your thoughts once you have done some Sqarmish laps

Cheers Jimbo! There’s not really any mud on the west coast though, which is why you won’t see it in videos. It’s mainly sandy type soil and drains a lot better....plus I probably wouldn’t be riding in things like that if I was at home :)

That was fun to watch. Your skill/confidence has improved so much since you got that bike. I'm getting a used (rental, Giant Glory) dh for pennies here in a couple weeks so I appreciate the dh content. I currently only own an upgraded budget hardtail so I have lots to learn. Also, any thoughts on the Polygon Siskiu T7? It's an entry Enduro / trail with 140mm travel, boost, tapered steerer.. So it's very up-gradable and it's only $1700 us or $2230 cad.

Looking at E13 website... Confused about tire compounds. Which are you using? In descriptions they talk about MoPo vs Plus versions, but when you try to buy you can only choose between Plus and Race. What is Race? Which is stickier? And which are you riding, Paul?

@@PaulThePunter yeah looks really quiet! Those roots at Racines Carree bring back lots of memories (and not particularly pleasant ones!) but that aside lots of happy memories. Long drive from Glasgow though :-)

I get it, these videos make people feel better about themselves. Well at least the ones that would call him a pussy for not trying to hit those "black, double black, red or pro lines" features and especially on a high end expensive bike. Not sure if it's the flat sunshiny light or what, but those trails look kinda boring. This is a destination place? Why? Did I miss something as I skimmed through this video, because I did not see anything noteworthy. Looks like rutted cattle trails with a few jumps thrown in to break up the monotony.
