Russell Martin is the first person we know to be able to have kids without medical interventions. After his two boys were all grown up, Russell was diagnosed with mosaic Klinefelter syndrome in his mid 40's.
After extensive research on mosaic XXY, even after his doctors told him there was no way he could have XXY, a karyotype test years later revealed he did.
What is Mosaic Klinefelter syndrome?
Klinefelter mosaics (47, XXY/46, XY) are less severely affected, and the chance of finding sperm in the ejaculate in these males is significantly higher than in nonmosaic (47, XXY) cases. livingwithxxy....

Can we just appreciate the fact that men with KS, mosaic and non-mosaic look youthful even in older age. It’s like a ‘Fountain of Youth’ gene. This man is nearly fifty, and before I learned his age, I thought he was thirty.

I'm mosaic and didn't officially know until pretty recently (I'm now 60). I had genetic testing because of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and an aortic dilation. They downplayed the Kleinfelters after the testing because they were so worried about the aortic dilation. My ex and I have 2 sons. We were sexually active before marriage for literaly years until she got pregnant with our first and then 5 years with lots of trying until our 2nd. We're now divorced and my ex got pregnant twice in a year with her new husband. Her family is known for being super fertile. My parents took 7 years to have me (and no others) - so no idea if there was XXY with my dad - he's been gone for over 10 years. When I found out I am XXY Mosaic - I realized it made so much sense, based on personality, body shape when I gain weight, how I learn, very late puberty, no body hair until on testosterone (which was super low), etc.

I've never had a sperm test... just the genetics. I raised my 2 (after the divorce) and really don't want any more, but it's really good to know what's going on with my body. It explained so much that let me know I was normal for someone with XXY.

I also remember in high school looking at books on genetics in the school library and thinking maybe I had Kleinfelter, but the pictures only showed the extremes so I discounted it. Education is so important - Thank you Ryan and Russell. Russell - your story sounds so familiar.

Wow, very interesting story. I would how many others with XXY also have naturally born children that don’t know. Lots more research needed I guess.

My husband just found out he has mosaic klinefelters with xx chromosomes as well (super rare). We’re trying to conceive so it’s been interesting for him trying to understand this.

I also have KF mosaics and I had kids when I was 30 before I started testosterone treatment with the help of IVF isci. One of my children had a significant birth defect when she was born but I'm unsure if this was related to the KF diagnosis.

If there are roughly 2/3rds potentially with klinefelter's or mosaic klinefelter's that go undiagnosed then I wonder how many don't have issues with conceiving. Might be super common to not have issues. The issue leads to testing.

10:14 exactly what my doc has told me lol my testes are workin superrrr hard. not super low though 240-250 ish. im 21 btw also been lifting for 7 yrs lol if anything ya would think that would boost test. its crazy cuz ive always been able to build muscle never knew i had xxy until early last year lol. ive stacked on a ton without trt creatine mono really helps imo. the stigma is horrible man.

yo bro, i feel like i have a mosaic form, but im not really sure, i hope this does not sound too invasive, but my left testicle measured around 14 ml volume, and right had the same volume, if you had ur testicles measured via ultrasound or had test results from when u were around 19 years old what did it look like? Im really sorry for the invasiveness but this has caused me anxiety for years.

Hey Ryan ...sorry for commenting frequently i am a indian 26 yr old low facial Hair no muscles small testicles and zero sperm count but height 5.1 ft only my testosterone was 2.89 ng/ml a year ago elevated fSH and LH and grade 2 left varicoscele and left small testis what should I do varicoscel repair helps me ? Or TRT only option ...here in India we ate mostly carbs What are the side effects of TRT iam reading many side affects .my aim is to maintain normal level T only not for body building for living only and

hi, i have all the features of xxy im 19 and have 14ml volume right testicle and 14 ml left testicl. is it possible i have a mosaic form? i have all the other symptoms too, im just not sure though

@@BharathBharath-fe7bg no luck. I’m beginning to think no one will help us cos I’m pretty sure mosaic form is within the normal parameters a lot of the time so it’s goes undetected. I’m starting to get so frustrated I’m thinking about going down the steroid route. Becuase my test at 19 is clearly on the low end with all of the studies of behaviours and certain bodily functions not working properly etc that match up and no one is helping me.
