The list in Revelation gives the minerals and the Jewish account gives the colors of the banners.

And the stones would light up. For a good list of minerals look at the greek minerals in REVELATION that gives the minerals and the flags of the tribes gives the colors.

To anyone interested, here is a more detailed and accurate review of the confidant stones, consistent with the Septuagint and the Masoretic text.

Match the stones in exodus to the stones in Revelation where we know the minerals. And John saw the breastplate when going to the temple .the colors of Levi . red black and white may be red green and white which is on emerald crystals .. i have a necklace of emerald...red which is bixbite green and white..So Levi is emerald. And Simeon is olivine or chrysoljts and judah is zircon

These stones have noting to do with gentiles (Arabs, Latinos, Asians, Whites etc). The stones only coincide with the 12 African tribes of Jacob "The isrealites."

We should understand the meaning and not to follow the costom or tradition.

The names are important. The scripture says the names of the 12 (Tribes) Children of Israel were on them...therefore how can you say the names of some of the stones were lost. The KJV reads as follow; Exo 28:21 And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes.
