must agree though for something that massive and repetitive makes some sense, somebody surely has to pick the colors?

No, that's not fair to use a program to tell you what color tile to put where. This is an ancient art and tradition is very important, and so is talent. Computers in some things is cheating and in my opinion, using them in something this ancient and sacred is cheating. Beautiful but somehow feels dishonest to me.
