I saw the show in NYC and a friend of mine went backstage to meet the performers; the cats were very friendly and outgoing; they'd hardly be this way if they were abused.

I've been following Kuklachev for years now. I'm former FBI, CIA and an Eagle Scout to boot. This man loves his cats. Each and every one.

That is impressive! My students had told me about this. In an interview, Kuklachev said he trains them at night because they are night creatures (and thus function better them.)

I've visited this thatre for several times, I should say that it's really amazing, not just because I love cats, but cause its a toil to train a cat!

You have to love cats for them to even take serious notice of you. My cats have been different from each other but each one has grabbed a piece of my heart and never let go. All you train is the natural tendency of a cat to do different things. Some like leads, some jump up and ride on your shoulders, some play fetch, some roll over and some take hand instructions from people. Cats are amazing creatures and respond only to love, stroking and noms. You are right - it isn't cruelty, it's fun.

I so much more enjoy watching domestic house cats in a circus then the big, wild ones; it's so much more endearing. Plus, after the show, you can meet the performers; they're very friendly and really love people.

The people accusing him of abuse are ignorant and think every circus animal is abused. These are mostly street cats whom he gives a home. My grandma knew him. One cat came to watch him training cats and decided to stay. You cant force cats to do anything. What he does is find activities they already like. Some people just want to see the worst in everyone.

Would you care to tell me how? because they get trained? because they preform? that isnt cruelty. unlike dogs, cats dont listen when the owner is being cruel. So you have to be REALlY patient with training cats and be kind to them.. and looking at how the cats are trained well you really cant call that cruelty
