Renata, in Russian, the word red originally meant not color but beauty. And the red color got its name because it's the most beautiful. In the Russian language there are such phrases: "Red Maiden" means "beautiful maiden" Red Square "-" Beautiful Square "Yes, the Kremlin is red, but not because it is from socialism, it was originally, in the first version, white (from white stone) The Kremlin became red long before the October Socialist Revolution of 1917. As early as in the 18th century, the Kremlin was renovated and made of red brick, and the square remained Red, beautiful, and has been called that way for many centuries. Renata, в русском языке слово красный изначально означало не цвет, а красоту. А красный цвет получил своё название потому, что самый красивый. В русском языке есть такие словосочетания: "Красная девица" - означает "красивая девица" Красная площадь" - "Красивая площадь" Да, кремль красного цвета, но не потому, что он из социализма. Он изначально, в первой версии, был белым (из белого камня) Кремль стал красным задолго до Октябрьской социалистической революции 1917 года. Ещё в 18 веке Кремль обновили и сложили из красного кирпича. А площадь так и осталась Красной - красивой, и называется так уже много столетий.

Hey Renata! I am a German and never had Moscow or Russia on my list. Then I got the offer to go here for Business (German Television) - and I have never looked back. What I've learned, I have learned how warmhearted and friendly the Russians are - yeah .. ok .. most of them :) ... :) I'm here since seven years (traveling always between Moscow and my homeplace Los Angeles) and I really enjoyed the time here. - This is my last year - and I'm glad to go back to the states. But i will always go back to visit beautiful Russian friends and colleagues :) Thanks for your videos - they confirm, that Moscow, St. Petr and/or Russia is absolutely worth to visit. People who talk about other countries and other people only understand what they are talking about, after they travelled through them. All the best! - Frank

Hi Frank! It's so interesting you say that because I had exactly the same impression. I first visited Russia in 2006, spent one month there and things were very different. I've been back twice now in the past few months and I absolutely fell in love too. People were really friendly and nice. And to be honest I feel the same way about your home country. A lot of people tend to believe Germans are too closed, but I spent 2 months in Germany and had some of the best days in my life, and I met people that became friends for life (unfortunately it was before I started this channel, so I have no videos 😥). Thanks for sharing your story and enjoy L.A. when you go back! That was my home for many years too 😊

Ahh! I'm glad you like it! Thanks! That place is more of a bar, although they have stuff to eat as well. It's really fun! Hard to find, as you need to get in the internal patio of a building and there are no signs on the street, so when you go to Russia let me know and I can give you the specific details!

Before the October revolution of the 20th century, there were more temples in the Kremlin. Then some churches were blown up by the Bolsheviks. Undoubtedly more beautiful. What was not in those days, it's asphalt. Stone pavement, as in Red Square. The walls of the Kremlin were sometimes white mosprogulka.ru/questions/belyj_kreml

Dear Renata! I enjoy your Russian vlogs so much! Thank you so much! At 1:22 For all those who want to visit the Lenin Mausoleum - As per 2018 schedule, it's open all weekdays except Mondays and Fridays! And ONLY from 10-00 to 13-00 - just only for three hours a day! And the access is FREE! Hence the long queues which people take on hours before in advance!!! But when opened, the queue goes pretty fast, as you're not allowed to stop in there - just slowly passing along the glass-protected entombment!!! Somehow surprisingly the interest to the Lenin Mausoleum grows with foreign tourists as the time goes by - probably due to the 100th anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia of 1917 - whatever - but as a Muscovite I havn't seen such long lines to see Lenin since USSR last century!

Thank you for the interesting video! I live in this city and love it with all my heart .. And I even envy everyone who comes here for the first time) Moscow is so great and multifaceted - everything in it can be found and rediscovered again and again! My husband and I recently really wanted to change the situation, but we didn't want to go far, so we chose the Royal Zenith Hotel and paid off. The hotel is located in the protected area of Serebryany Bor, surrounded by pine trees and a beautiful view of the river. I was very pleased with the Spa complex on the territory of the hotel - after a working week, what you need. Friendly staff, delicious cuisine - we recommend!
