Moses was truly devoted to his people. Exodus 32:32 Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. “Forgive there sin - If not blot me out of the book that you have written” 🤯 Powerful! A true Keeper of Sheep!

The first time, he was told to hit the rock was a picture of punishment for their unfaithful murmuring to who was going to come and give Himself as the once and for all payment for our sin,.. and seeing how He'd already paid by been struck this first time at the bitter waters of Moriah, all Moses was supposed to do this second time was to speak to the rock, And I've heard it said in the original language it says "and HE will give you HIS water,... but Moses, in his anger struck it again and twice at that, giving the picture of Him paying again for what had already been paid for, Also very importantly, is that by raising his voice at them in anger and striking the rock he spoiled the chance God was going to use to show His Love and Compassion for them.

Similarly a parent is a shepherd to their children. The children are not a piece of property, they are individual beings that will eventually move on. I raise my children as individual beings, I love them and accept their journey as they see it. I feel that everyone is a shepherd in a way. We all need to teach and help our fellow man but not to ever try to control them with teachings. 💕 🙏🏻 thank you

Not complicated. It's a matter of trusting, and being obedient. After hearing that he would not be entering into the Promised Land, because of his disobedience, Moses didn't kick up a fuss about it. He knew why, and accepted the consequences.

Godly words for healing and such a beautiful insight to ponder upon. I'm just working on the pattern of the shepherds and Moses the Good Shepherd wasn't even on my list, he's at the top now. The role of shepherd is like the role of a father - to provide and guide, protect and correct. Without a shepherd or protective loving force guiding us through dangerous territory or dangerous times we are sitting ducks and lambs to the slaughter. If the men don't Pray, the people will be Preyed Upon. Our first and most important line of defence against threat and predators is strong prayerful males uniting together arm in arm...creating a circle of defence. Like elephants or whales...they unite and protect together, as one. Not abandoning their role, nor thinking about their own safety...they circle and protect the old, the young and the females. It's truly beautiful to witness and watch. That's protective loyalty no matter what. So remember - Prayerful IS Powerful and thank you to all the men of Israel that pray for us all and study Torah. God Bless Israel, God Bless You and God Bless Your Family.

1st Corinthians 10:4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of the spiritual Rock that followed them, that Rock was Christ. I think that’s a must add in the story. Also his sister Miriam had just died so I can see why he was a bit extra frustrated with his ever complaining people where his sister just passed away. And he multiply struck the Rock that was Christ.

Forgive me but, if Mosheh realized that he probably sealed his fate by not speaking to the rock then why did he beg Abba to the point where Abba basically told him to shut up and live with the punishment? That doesn't make sense. IMHO I believe Mosheh got so angry with the stiff necked disobedient people that he lost his temper and struck the rock forgetting Abba's command in that moment and not showing the power of Elohim to all of the people. Everybody seems to forget that Mosheh in this whole episode never repented for what he had done and still because of the grace of Elohim he showed Mosheh the land from the mountain top before he died.

Brazen serpent means bronze not copper alone. This is significant. Also, the number of times the rock was smote is significant. Why two times? And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? Who is this Rock that spills out the water?

Rabbi Friedman’s amazing insight made me in tears. God’s punishment on Moses’s action was not fit on crime, because there’s no crime made. Mose’s love and compassion to his flocks made him to bury with them in desert knowing there’s milk and honey in Canaan was profound message to me. Apparently, God created there’s the way man thinking or dealing with on every situation or issues basically different than woman. That’s why God created man first then woman as helper not as leader. That’s why I love Judaism. you never get this kind of spiritual interpretation of Bible in church. Thank you!🙏♥️

Moshe Rabbeinu, what leadership! He promised to lead them into the land and he will, even at great cost to himself! A true leader doesn't say: follow me, I'm the greatest. A true leader says: "I'll take the flack for this" or "is everyone alright?" Will Moshe lead the followers of Korach out of the desert, too? Or did they permanently permanently give up their place in the world to come?

That is me and my brother…. I’m the stone that was rejected by its builder…. My brother…. Is a man of faith…. Which means ….. faith is blind and deef. So to say… and he doesn’t recognize that I was the one who stood before him… and opened up my book of names… and it’s all the names that he called me. I wanted to judge what is in his hart…. And hatred is what he has for me…. I am the rock that springs forth the springs of many waters…. My brother made me who I AM. But he enters in through the wide…. And he missed the narrow. He doesn’t recognize God when God is standing before him… because he has filters on his eyes and eyes… because he is what the spirit of faith is like… he still waits for one to come…. When I am his brother. Well… so to say

Rabbi, you have blessed me so much with so many of your teachings. I have come out of Christianity, it took me years to do so after much studying and struggling to try to prove what I thought I believed to be true. After realizing the lies that I was taught, I do not take anything in without suspicion. I admit that there is much for me to learn, thus the reason for my question. In Deuteronomy 3:23-29, Moses says "I implored Hashem...". Moses was pleading to enter the land. I heard another Rabbi teach that Moses requested 500 times to enter the land. Moses said in v. 26, "But Hashem became angry with me because of you, and He did not listen to me;". This does not line up with this video, please help me understand. Blessings.

You bring excellent points! I, as well, do not get the sense that Moshe did not want to stay out of the promised land!

If the people buried in the desert were/are not to enter paradise. How then Moses being buried there to will open the door or way for them to enter heaven? Did Moses know he would be buried in the desert? Was it his decision? I kind of got lost towards the end of this one. Have a blessed day.
