Price of these has steadily crept up over the years. My 91/30 (non scoped) cost me a whopping £120 back in late 90's and it was produced in 1934 with the octagonal receiver. Feeding it was always cheap on milsurp, but its all dried up now. Not an accurate rifle by anyone's standard, but the recoil puts a smile on your face.

Yep agreed, I had an M1944 carbine with side-folding bayonet almost mint, I think it was a post war gun from one of the Com Bloc countries. Still kick myself for selling it. I'm hoping to take the sniper version out to greater distances to see what it can do. I've got dies, brass and hunting bullets and if it can group at 200 yards I might try for a deer with it. I'm sure the old girl would like that!

Not sure why, it was filmed on an indoor range and the day was not windy
