Growing up in Detroit in the '60's we took it all for granted. The Funk Brothers, the Andantes, the song writers, the lead artists, everything. It was beyond exceptional, beyond words, and we never realized how incredible it would sound a half a century later.

Two things 1). Has there ever been a band that did it any better than the Funk Brothers? 2). Its possible that we may never see young people ages 12-18 that are able to successfully make quality innocent music like this ever again. Stevie is only 16 yrs old here....genius

This was one of the few songs that I remembered as a little kid that played continuously in our house throughout the mid to late 1960s. I really love the extended version of this video song, as it brilliantly captures almost every aspect of this masterpiece, besides Stevie's great singing voice: the beautiful angelic harmony of the back-up singers (The Andantes), the great musicianship of the Funk Brothers, the photos of what it looked like back in the 60's when they were recording this song almost made me feel I was back home in that rustbelt city of the Midwest. Back then, things were hopping and popping before the auto industry started laying off people and closing many of their plants.

Having lived in Detroit when all this took place was one word Fan-tas-tic! You see, every time a new release came out I'd hear it because I worked as a shoe shone boy next to the record shop and Mary who worked there would always come over and say we got a new one and this happened so regularly I'm telling you. I couldn't wait until the Motown reviews so I could see everybody In one place at the Fox theater, it was simply majestic

Sho'ya' right, brotherman!! Know what else is a true statement/testerment to his talent,, he accepted & made peace with his disability, & let his other senses kick in to help him navigate, & show him the way!! Lastly, Jett magazine did an article with him, talking about his career, & is being blind stopping him from his, music career?! Stevie said no, he also said that he was glad, he was blind, that way he didn't have to see how unfair the system was against Black Men, Women & children, he can't see it, butt it stills bring a year to his eyes!!

OMG. It's that exciting, heart stopping 1960s up tempo Motown Sound. The out of sight Funk Brothers backing band. Outer worldly female background vocalists. The Four Tops, Supremes, Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas and of course the boy wonder himself, Stevie. Yep, Could listen to that Motown Sound all day. This must be good for one's health. Happy music!
