Assalāmualeikum wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuhu knowledge Con 2018 was a huge blessing. I’m still writing my story about it may Allah help me finish it. I’m just so grateful for what happened in my life after knowledge von only Allah knows how grateful I am. People can really say a lot about these brothers but they helped the youth, they didn’t neglected them. They teached us quran and sunnah when I was in a dark place, when I had a wrong understanding about quran and sunnah. I really don’t feel comfortable to comment on videos etc. but I needed to mention this since ustadh Imran was mention knowledge con in the beginning and the hate they got about it. This is just me talking about the blessing Allah gifted me and one of it was knowledge con 2018 wa lilahil al Hamd.

Allahumma Baarik. Enjoyed this one. It's one of my favourite ones. The others are 1, 13, 25, 55 & 60. This episode had some elements of Manhaj Mondays, which was life changing & beneficial. I am a long-time subscriber of this channel. Miss the virtual knowledge con of corona times. I understand that you have taken a break from Dawah in this channel in order to seek knowledge. There is no valid difference of opinion in fact there is a unanimous consensus that it’s haram since time of Sahabah … anyone who comes out after the Sahabah and says that there a difference of opinion is going against their consensus

@@RighteousnRich akhi pls provide me the reference for where you claim there is a unanimous concern is that music is haram at the time of sahaba, whereas there is a multiplicity of narrations to show the prophet and sahaba allowing music

But isn’t music itself which is something which has scholars on either side arguing for permissibility and impermissibility, whereas you have been strict in pushing it being haram, and calling out people who engage in it!?

The difference of opinion between scholars on music isn’t a valid difference of opinion, especially when there are clear quranic verses and authentic hadith that show the impermissibility of music. Also, all 4 imams of the main schools of thought all agree that music instruments are haraam. May Allah bless you and guide both myself and you to the right path.

I believe it's because there is no difference in opinion regarding the permissibility of music. Some du'at may say it's permissible, but there is clear-cut evidence that supports that music is impermissible, therefore disproving their point. Hope this makes sense in sha Allah.

With all due respect, both of your comments show your lack of knowledge in this aspect. I am also inclined to believe music is impermissible, but I’m aware there are ample evidences provided from the other side which should be respected and not just claimed that there “isn’t a valid difference of opinion”

@@mkaau4585 Could you please show me some evidences that suggest music is permissible? I'm interested in learning about this view in sha Allah. However, in saying that, as all 4 schools of thought and the major scholars of Islam argue that music is impermissible, it's best to stay away from it in sha Allah. Besides most music today promotes nothing but zina and filth and genuinely has no goodness in it.

@@mkaau4585 surah luqman verse 6 makes it clear. Qur'an and hadith make it clear for us to the point where some don't need scholars breaking it down, even though their insight into why it's dangerous is very important. Music is a clear distraction from Qur'an
