Even if they fish for 50 years, most anglers will never catch one of these! This fishing trip starts off at the Lucky Unlucky Spot. Today's lure of choice is a Texas rigged craw. After a few few casts, I manage to catch the first largemouth bass of the day. The fish weighs close to one pound. After not catching anything else there, I move to another spot. This is where I catch something great! Some people will never experience the joy of catching a fishing pole. You think you have a bass on the line, nope, its a Zebco 33! After the excitement of catching a fishing setup, I even manage to catch a warmouth on the Texas Rig. #fishing #realistic

My dad, while attending to me, had lost his fishing rod and reel. It just flew right out of the boat, and an hour or two he caught not only his rod and reel, he caught his rod and reel and a 5 lb. strper.

I hope cleans up, I've cought a zebco 101 combo and it cleaned up, grandson has it. They clean up really well. In brothers boat found a Shakespeare combo was no good.

Great catch. Most of us OLD timers caught everything to include the kitchen sink on ZEBCO closed faced reels bought at the local hardware store. We didn’t have outdoors stores. We beat the crap out of them but they still worked 😂. We just spooled 8-15lb test. We never looked at specs . I did catch a clump of 50lb test mono the other day. We don’t got that size fish in our local reservoir.

My dad also pulled up a weathered fly rod with our anchor as well. My friend Kelly got a nice catfish rod on a trip out several months ago.

I just caught a fishing rod. The reel was ruined on it so i think they threw it in the water. I left it against a tree in my campsite hopefully some kid found it. I have only caught warmouth in one lake i have ever fished. They were quite common.

I caught a pole that was for a push button but had a ultralight spinning reel on it and I still use it for bait to this day. Upside down rod was pretty nifty lol

I just reeled in a whole bait caster set up with my drop shot. It’s a Penn “ Fathom” reel with a diawa rod. Pretty nice set up so I’m gonna clean it up and try and see if I can catch a fish on it hahahah.

LOL! That's a monster catch!! Clean it up and use it!! The only rod i've ever caught was the one I dropped off the dock. Lucky I had a 2nd rod I could use to hook it.

I pulled out a blackmax combo off the docks within the last year…in fact I cleaned it respooled it and it is sitting in the back of my truck rn rigged up with a Texas rig.

When I was a kid, my Grandfather had his rod and reel pulled in by a carp. Gone, gone, gone. A year later we were back at the same spot and I'd be darned if he didn't catch that rod and reel. No carp though. LOL He cleaned it up and it was just fine. It was also a Zebco. 33 or a 303. don't recall
