That's true. Calling a planet a dwarf planet does not make it any less of a planet than a dwarf human is human. A dwarf star is still a star, right? We used to just call Pluto a small planet. What's a dwarf star? A small star. And a dwarf human is a small human. So, a dwarf planet is a small planet. Even without more planets, Pluto is still a planet in our solar system despite what people seem to think. A planet is simply a mass of material in space which has gained enough mass to form itself into a spherical shape. Dwarf planet or not, it's still a planet.

Umm no. Definition of planet: A planet [1] is a celestial body that (a) is in orbit around the Sun, (b) has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a hydrostatic equilibrium (nearly round) shape, and (c) has cleared the neighbourhood around its orbit. Definition of dwarf planet: A "dwarf planet" is a celestial body that (a) is in orbit around the Sun, (b) has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a hydrostatic equilibrium (nearly round) shape [2], (c) has not cleared the neighbourhood around its orbit, and (d) is not a satellite. There are currently 5 dwarf planets with a potential 200 candidates to be classified as dwarf planets. Also, keep in mind that as we catalog more things and gain a better understanding of what is out there, the definitions of these things will change to become more accurate and useful classification system. But Pluto will most likely never be classified as a Planet again.

dude, love the video, but head transplant has already been done to monkeys, the monkeys head was attached to the host body, including the spinal cord. the money regained all its functions, and was rather confused due to the different body. when this was conducted in the 80's or 90's it was considered unethical due to the extreme confusion of the monkey! please look into your topics a bit more. further than that, great video.

The universe is supposedly 13.82 billion years old. The newly discovered galaxy is reportedly 13.4 billion years old and although we are in no way, the centre of the universe (just the centre of the observable portion of it from which light has had time to reach this point in space), if we look in any direction, we can see galaxies of a similar age. What bakes my noodle is that this would imply that in the half a billion years or so between the start of the universe and light from these most distant observable objects starting out on its journey to us, the universe was already in excess of 20 billion light years across and had coalesced sufficiently to form the galaxies of stars that we observe. How is this possible?

Not to be a nerd or anything. But there must have been an error in the information you obtained on the newly discovered galaxy. In the video you stated it is 13.4 billion light years away and also that it is 40 million years old. That is impossible. If it is 13.4 billion light years away then that means it takes 13.4 billion years for light from that galaxy to reach us. If it has only existed for 40 million years then obviously that light could not have been traveling for 13.4 billion years because it would be traveling for longer than it has even existed. At the very minimum , anything we see in the sky, or anything in outer space can only be as far away (in light years) as it is old. If I discover a new planet tomorrow that is 5 million light years away then at the very minimum it has to be 5 million years old, no younger.

I'm sorry to tell you, but the Chinese scientist in 2016 were NOT the first to complete a head transplant, On March 14, 1970, a group of scientists from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, led by Dr. Robert J. White completed the first successful head transplant of a monkey. Dr. Robert J. White was inspired by the work of Russian scientist Vladimir Petrovich Demikhov who - amongst other multiple medical firsts such as: 1937 - world's first artificial heart; 1946 - world's first heterotopic heart transplant into the chest; 1946 - world's first heart-lung transplant; 1947 - world's first lung transplant; 1948 - world's first liver transplant; 1951 - world's first orthotopic heart transplant; 1952 - world's first mammary-coronary anastomosis; - and in 1954 transplanted a dog's head onto the body of another dog and created a living two headed dog.

if 5b data storage can survive for billion years then we could proove if time travel is possible. just leave them a note. btw time travel is not really possible or lets say nice bcause time-space continuum. we're travelling through space so if you go back in time for lets say 10 hours, you would travel to the past, but if you dont modify the location you could end up in outer space

4:18 GNZ11 is a conundrum; 40 million years old? But 13.4 billion light years a away? Then we are seeing what it was there 13.4 billion years ago since light speed is constant. So how do we see a galaxy that far away if its age is only 40 million years? They say "40 million years old" as in the age now, not 13.4 billion years ago. Someone explain this? A mistake in the presentation, or a mistake in the math?

BAD NEWS, in 1970 neuroscientist Robert White performed the first successful monkey head transplant. Mind you, the spine wasn't and couldn't be reattached, but it was done and the poor monkey lasted for a day and a half. Pluto was demoted in status by the International Astronomical Union (IAU), against their own rules. With only 4% of their members present, on the last day of their scheduled meeting in 2006 after most of their members has left early to go back to their home countries, the vote was taken breaking their own rules. So, technically, it should not have been demoted. Even so: 1) a Dwarf Star is still considered a Star, they just don't want a dwarf planet to be considered a planet so that people don't have to memorize 100+ dwarf planets in the solar system. 2) their definition "is in orbit around the Sun" removed from the picture EVERY exoplanet and rogue planet that has been discovered in the past few years. 3) their definition "has cleared the neighborhood around its orbit" could be applied to every accepted planet in the solar system, including Earth. Look at later in your own video about "Asteroid 2016 HO3" for a prime example of this. Also, by this logic, since the proposed new Planet IX is further than the Kuiper belt it will not have cleared it's orbit nearly as well as the other accepted planets. So could also be considered, and even named, a dwarf planet even though evidence suggests that it is larger than the planet Earth. I think they are gonna have to revisit this decision if and when the theoretical (new) Planet IX is ever discovered. Just my personal take on the matter.

I hope the research into depression is something I'll see in my lifetime. I've got no reason to be depressed, everything in the world to live for, 2 great kids, a girlfriend that loves me unconditionally, still.. when the depression hits, nothing I can do, the medicine they prescribe for depression, the ones I've tried anyway, have horrible side effects and do little to actually help with depression. even if I don't benefit from it, I hope the next generation has a better understanding and are close to a cure. 7:25 the meteorite fits right in the Flood timeline. 4,350 years ago at start of the Flood vast amounts of Earth rock were blasted into space and this meteorite was part of that but it didn't have a high enough trajectory so it returned to Earth very quickly. Even though it supposedly weighs 20 tones it didn't bury itself - that makes nonsense of the claims that big meteorites killed all the dinosaurs 68 million years ago.

Man you must have very little fantasy about things you want to experience, or simply don't like to do stuff.

6:20 We need to get away from the idea that depression is a disease or disorder. Depression is the NORMAL response to sad or stressful situations. There are plenty of disorders that can cause depression but that makes depression a symptom, not a disease. Treating depression without treating the underlying cause is like only treating the pain suffered by people with cancer. The person might feel better, but they still have cancer.

grumpybill Your what? Your depression? If so, your case is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. The pharmaceutical companies would rather you take anti-depressants for life than give you B-12 supplements for a few weeks.

***** Nothing at all "Scientology" about my statement. Scientology claims there aren't ANY mental disorders. I'm not saying mental disorders aren't real. I'm not even saying depression isn't real. I know for a fact that BOTH are real things. All I am saying is depression is not a disorder. It is a NORMAL response. How can a normal response be a disorder? If a loved one dies, or your girlfriend dumps you or you get fired from work it is NORMAL to be depressed. Now if you have some sort of mental disorder that warps reality, or causes you to not react normally in social situations, these things can make it impossible to hold down a job or form normal relationships with other people. This will mean that you will have few if any friends and you'll be unable to support yourself. That would make ANYONE depressed. This would be called "clinical depression" because it can go on for a lifetime. You can give the person drugs that MIGHT make them feel better, but unless you address the underlying mental health issues you'll still be lonely, friendless, and jobless.
