Pranks are great, but to use prayer as the delivery mechanism for a prank? Not the best taste. I don't believe in taking life too seriously or upholding everything as sacred... Prayer, however, will always be sacred.

This reminds me of the time we were all standing in a circle and my friend was saying the prayer. Then he farted in the middle of his own prayer and goes, "Sorry, Lord, I didn't mean to do that, I just had to let it out."

Oh dear God....😂😂😂My nephew did something similar. My sister had taught her boys if you fart or belch you must say “ excuse me”. My nephew is autistic, and takes things very literally. Well, they were up at communion, and he farted. My sister tried to ignore it, but my nephew kept excusing himself louder and louder until he yelled, “ Excuse me Mom, I SAID I FARTED!!”

Hahaha.... I also remember in my earlier conversion, We used to pray in circle but my mind is that that yet devoted , then the rain fell so heard, and I shout in midlle of that prayer: (In Filipino) Ang mga sinampay ko ! English My hanged clothes ! But we sometimes do horrific things, but we also grew in Christ ;)

Obviously a charismatic church.....or at least they have been studying the 'charismatic church worship handbook' that we need to 'emotionally manipulate' people with music and 'building the feeling' while in prayer, etc. I am disgusted when this happens, and as someone involved in worship, I have had to rebuke and refuse to play during prayers. We are speaking to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY - LITERALLY - We're not doing ANYTHING for ourselves or for the congregation personally. We don't need to 'create a mood' or 'build the moment' - That's psychotic.

But we need not to distract the people as well...soft music during prayer does not necessarily need to be done to set the mood for anything. It is done so the prayer can be heard clearly and so that everyone can agree together as a body of Christ..This team needs to wake up and realize that the nerve they have to "prank" during worship is dangerous. Worship leaders, lead the people of God into that intimate time with Him, but the fact that he and his team thought and did otherwise is just downright scary.

Sadly enough, this is the majority of churches now adays. Modern Christianity sunday worship is all about listening to a crappy band and a sermon that does not help grow spiritually.

I know what you mean I've been to MANY churches and they are all lacking the spirit of God. Thats what makes a church alive and amazing!! His presence being there and in the lives of the people who attend! But let me tell you there are churches out there that carry his presence and it is amazing! Im thankful for my church everyday! Hope you find one spirit filled!!!

Don’t forget the churches out there that have the huge concert style light shows with strobes and tons of fog, courtesy of fog machines, as well as ear splitting sound levels. They say its to attract the younger crowd, but would Jesus need lights and fog machines to draw a crowd? I think not, yet so many churches today are headed in that direction.

2 points.... if you're gonna be all hyper spiritual I'm gonna assume that you prayed for these folks thoroughly after criticizing them....and my second point is....you don't know who came to their church either or if these guys on stage recognized every single person in front of them....therefore you are judging and in sin.....if you're angry with me right now for calling you out in love....you're in sin and need to repent of your sin. God bless.......and i am now going to pray for you. ...........See how annoying it is when people get hyperspiritual? get yourself a sense of humor and get over your phariseeism. @@meroo4574 I agree that there are moments when many well-meaning Christians "hyperspiritualize" things and can't take a joke. That said, prayer is by its very essence, spiritual, so I think you're wrong on that point. Also, as brothers and sisters in Christ, we are called to hold each other to account. It's not Pharisaical to call out irreverence when participating in communion with a holy God!

Paul met Christ on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-5) validated by Ananias' vision (vs 15-16), Matthias replaced Judas (Acts 1:26) and Paul often referred to Barnabas as an apostle ...Luke makes ref to "70 Apostles"...so there are more than the original 12. Requirements were the same; but if today you find yourself following an "Apostle" I suggest you find another church!

.... Im kinda awkward too but I just close my eyes and lift my hands. Im just a beginner and they always advice me to do it naturally and pray... The first time I lead, I saw all the church members were singing while their eyes were closed... I was shookt and closed my eyes immediately.

As a worship leader, I found this to be tragic and ignorant. God isn't your boss, add or some goofy leader who we can randomly punk. He is the creator of the Universe. He is the Rock of our salvation! He is the Almighty sovereign God! Using the Lord's name in vain is not excluded to trite talk and cursing. George Washington even spoke of fearing using the Lord's name in vain, simply by praying a meaningless and ineffectual prayer. This goes way beyond that in mocking talking to God. And what was the hideous racket that continued throughout. I give this two thumbs down. This was an example of the Laodician church. Luke warm and unstomachable.

Lord God I ask that you will release the spirit of peace and unity over your church. Let us not repay evil with evil Lord but love one another with brotherly love. Please allow me to see the day when the church will properly function as one body and each ligament doing it's very part. Thank you Jesus for your grace and mercy, Holy spirit for your persistent work in us, and Father God for your plans and discipline. Amen!
