From around June onwards, you have the opportunity to spend the night in the most beautiful places in the Swiss Alps.
If it's not an SAC hut, you can even take your dog with you. The mountain huts are simple, but it's enough to spend a night there.
Here I show you the short trip to the Grosse Scheidegg. An alpine pass that is, however, closed to private traffic. Only the post bus is allowed to drive through here.
Enjoy the unique mountain moments!

Don't be sad Sylvia, whereas I subscribe to over a dozen Switzerland channels and yours is by far the best, because you take us to very unique places and at quieter times, which I never experience on other channels. Hello dears Sylvia and Rasta 😊 Thank you for showing another beatiful place . No matter what some people can criticize. Of course they are free to have their oppinions. But the fact is that your work is fantastic and the impact that has is undinaible. You don't make your videos ramdomly. You work with your heart and sensibility. We can see that clearly. That place is astonishing too. I loved to see that waterfall with the wild flowers in front of it. And those houses. It looks like a fairy tail. And that part of the mountains reminds me part of the scenery of the "Lord of the rings". I am not surprised those beatiful places are used as scenery for many films. And this time...i can't argue with you to let me drive 😂. Because cars are not allowed on that area. And i could't agree more. That area must be preserved. Fauna and flora. Lots of turists cars would damage nature for sure. Polution...destruction of plants under the cars weels... running over the wild animals... That would be terrible. So, my congratulations 👏👍🥰 to the swiss authorities responsible for those measures. And to you too my dear Sylvia. Not only for your wonderful work, but also for your respect and love for nature and animals ❤ Thank you 🫶❤️ And please give Rasta a kiss for me 😘

Dear Alice! Yes, absolutely - everyone should be able to express their opinion. But I'm sure you know what it's like - there are 10 nice opinions and one critical one and only the critical opinion remains. :)) I'm working on not letting this get so close to me. But I also have to say that my community here is really very decent - I'm very proud of that. Yes, I'm certainly not allowed to let you drive here, but maybe the Postbus driver will take pity on you and let you take the wheel 😂

Delighted that you hiked down from the Grosse Sheidegg to Schwartzwaldalp! You did this once before I believe in a previous video but took the alternative route down. Selfishly wish you wouldn’t tell the world about this magical valley I’ve hiked up and down since being a child and now with my son.

Yes, it's always a bit of a balancing act as to what you tell and reveal to people and what not. However, I don't think this area is particularly attractive for selfie tourists and is therefore unlikely to be overrun after this video 😅

@@SylviaMichelPhotography Yes, I agree Sylvia....this has emotional attachment for me as my grandmother, my parents and myself would, over the span of 100 plus years, frequently come over from my grandmother's chalet in Hohfluh, Hasliberg to hike and pick blueberries etc. The Rosenlaui epitomises to me the ageless Swiss alpine aura that thankfully has remained ageless. I come back every year to feel the embrace of the alps here in this small pass and adjoining valley.

Wow, this is one of my favorite videos yet! I did so much research for our trip, but I didn't even know about Grosse Scheidegg! This is going top on my list for a future trip for sure. It looks stunning! And we enjoy Switzerland no matter the weather, don't worry. ;) It's simply the most beautifully place in the world, I think.

Thanks for this soothing video and for your channel 🏔🌲🍀 I follow a couple of traveling channels and am always appreciative of the content each one offers. I absorb what I watch if is soothing, healthy. Each one offers a variety of filmings that probably I wouldn't cover if I travel to any one of these places. Because is shared from the creator's perspective and intuition. Therefore, thanks for sharing your views as you feel to share and do not be sad for the haters' comments. If they want to watch more, let them pay for the experience in order to get there. Keep on your good work. It brought me relaxation and healing in a country where criminality is rampant, Puerto Rico. I am so enjoying your videos. Thank you for putting the date and time on the screen. I am planning a return trip to Switzerland for next May. Your May video will be watched over and over. Out first/last trip was in August 2023 and the crowds were too much for me. I will give up a little in the weather department to have less people.

My Saturday bike ride was usually Meiringen to Grosse schidegg, if I had time I would loop down to Interlaken then back through Brienz nut normally I would just have a Rivella at the pass then turn around and go back home. You should shoot Rosenlaui Gorge, it's truly breathtaking and you get a great view of the glacier when you reach the top.
