This is Gymnopedie No.1, by Erik Satie, with Sora as the main focus point. This, I think, is the most beautiful song in the new age genre. The remix is by Cafe Del Mar.

EDIT: I should do a forum where people bash this video. It seems like a only few people who watch even like it. I don't know whether to laugh or to cry....lol And I so Laugh.
I have recently listened to music that has reinspired me music-wise. I've heard music by George Winston, Jim Brickman, Vicki Logan, and others that simply top what I have posted. I will post for my friend with Vicki Logan, for I have not found the songs that I know and love on this site. I will put them up and hopefully you will find them and enjoy them as I have.

I first found this video 10 years ago when working 10 hour days in as a very lonely ESL teacher in South Korea, I listened to it over and over and over again as I wrote a kids book about two kids who sailed on a magic sea. I now listen to it with my three children. It is very beautiful. Thanks for posting it.

The first time I saw this video a long time ago .. Then it disappeared with my great regret. I love the music of Satie, Gymnopedie ... and I was very surprised at the rimaster with sounds so .. magnificent in the combination of the wonderful cartoon .. 😍😊😍 Thank you so much for having posted again ... I have Synesthesia, and let me tell you, this song is one of the most amazing I have ever heard, seen, felt, and tasted. It created the most exquisite colors and a beautiful sense of well-being. At times, I even tasted ice cream sundaes, due to the violins' sounding so happy. Simply incredible! I felt as if my heart was about to jump out of me and sway to the music ^_^. Thank you for posting this, it has helped me with my depression so much! I find inner-peace, when I listen to this song =).

Wow, how much life has happened since I was last here probably over a decade ago. Couldn't even begin to put it in words. Painfully sad and yet beautiful and happy at the same time. If you happen to find this comment in another decade I hope it finds you well. Don't miss the tiny important things with big greedy stars in your eyes. You're probably pondering your whole life but just relax and enjoy this beautiful video and song big guy. really, this song always reminds me that if you slow down you will always find something tiny and precious to cherish like for example i was listening to this and happened to look outside my window and saw a really beautiful rainbow. so hang in there, there is a lot to look forward to in this life that we have yet to see

I remember playing this when I was younger and just feeling warm and enchanted when this song would come on (I believe in traverse town?). I used to hang around just to hear the song. Years later I end up hearing the original Gymnopedie from Satie and was taken back to my childhood. Surely I've listened to Gymnopedie over 1000 times by now. Love it

Dearest CalicoGrace: The time and effort you have put behind this work of art is just amazing. I definitely love Satie's music, but new remakes and musical arrangements just make music more attractive for newer generations of classic compositions. In Spanish we say "estás poniendo tu granito de arena" which means you are contributing in your own way with others being exposed to such beautiful music, as well as the video. Mr. Satie also wrote a song that was performed by Blood Sweat and Tears in 1969, 'Sometimes in Winter'. Fine songwriter.

i remember i went to a anime convention the other weekend, and the judges for the talent show were talking in the back. so to keep us entertained, they showed a bunch of awesome animes, first they showed Ouran High school and we all showin our love for the anime (lol) then they played a kingdom hearts one and we were all like woo hooin like crazy!! lol, great vid btw
