Most beautiful WATERFALL in Switzerland? GIESSBACH Falls in BRIENZ near Interlaken

Күн бұрынThe Bernese Oberland is FULL of natural TREASURES! One of them are the GIESSBACH WATERFALLS near BRIENZ! There are in total 14 levels of waterfalls, thus, it’s considered to be one of Switzerland’s most unique natural sites. Please arrive by boat either from Brienz or Interlaken to enjoy a better experience and take the funicular. On your way to Giessbach by boat, consider a quick visit to the wonderful village of Iseltwald. This one is easier to visit from Interlaken, as your boat journey will then continue to Giessbach. To explore the Giessbach waterfalls, consider at least 1 hour, two hours are even better! Take the funicular and hike up to see each stage of the waterfall. A highlight is definitely the passage that will take you behind the waterfall. It's also a great spot for taking instagram photos. If you take the funicular up, consider hiking down. It's an easy walk and you will get a different impression of the lower stages of the waterfall. The very lowest stage is one of the nicest; that's the one with the bridge, sometimes there will be some soaking, which is quite exciting. To visit the Giessbach falls: It's best to arrive here in May/June or late August and September. These months are not too busy and you will be having a better experience at the Giessbach falls. Also consider visiting the GRAND HOTEL GIESSBACH! It's a historic 4 star hotel, which is around 150 years old! It charms with its classy interior and professional service. It's like a journey into the late 19th century. It's a great idea to stay overnight at the GRAND HOTEL GIESSBACH. If you can afford, book a room with a balcony to have a great view over the Giessbach waterfalls; it's very romantic!

My Godmother lives in Brienz, so I went to Giessbach at least once a year. What a luxury!! Btw, consider walking to or from Iseltwald. It takes about one hour of walking in the forest right next to the lake. Ideal during hot summer days and absolutely worth it!

Hii. Thank you very much for leaving such a nice feedback here! There is a ferry going to Brienz that will stop at Giessbach; that's where you would have to get out. Make sure you don't take the ferry heading to Interlaken. Basically, the ferry you will be taking should be heading towards EAST.

@@rarecation its written on the timetable. The ferry that comes from the West (left), is the one that takes you to Giessbach. Please check with the schedule at the board there, so you will be 100% sure😊✌🏼

Hi. It should be only 10 minutes from the hotel. Its an easy walk as long as nobody is physically handicapped.

Hi Yasin. Ya, it was nice to collaborate with this hotel. It was a very small collaboration, because it was one of my very first collabs I had. I am very happy I was allowed to drone there and film inside the hotel, which normally is not. The service and concept of the hotel is really great and sustainable.

When I said hi, he ignored, when I thanked him for d premieres, he ignored me again, n when I sent 3 emojis, he decided to ignore once again, n all that upset me coz I've been supportive all this while, hoping for d best for him, do u think that I deserve to be ignored in d premieres, no right, but I chose to forgive n forget coz everyone errs. 🙂

I really like d hotel esp d location, on one side is d beautiful view of d waterfall n on d other side is d beautiful lake. It reminds me of d many splendour heritage building that sits on a hill with great view around like d neuschweinstein castle in bavaria. D hotel interior is tastefully decorated. Anyone who visits this place should experience staying in d hotel. Glad that u give d hotel a good review. Hi. I don't know. As of what I heard this Gemeindetageskarte will be replaced with another pass. I usually use Half-fare or GA but still will have to pay for it. Probably it's not included.
