Wooden bathing suits? Have you ever watched a modern fashion show? There is a lot more bizarre clothing ideas out there than a wooden bathing suit... like buying expensive jeans that are already worn out.

That window baby cage was a good idea! It could be made safe enough. If you trust the mount for your expensive air conditioner, the baby cage would be fine.

If it was such a great idea they'd still be using it till this day. An airconditioner can be replaced if it falls,.. a babies life can't be. (Not with the exact one, or two or three, that died anyways) An air conditioner can't throw things at pedestrians and traffic either,.. kids can. They can pee and throw up on them too. An air conditioner doesn't move around, and jump up and down like a kid or kids do either, so there's little chance of it loosening up the bolts that fasten it to the building. A child is far more valuable than an air conditioner, imo.

@magnificentmuttley1542 жыл бұрын
@@neferazure @One Day At A Time still has a valid point, though. I can see how the baby cage is fine for calm or otherwise well-behaved children. But as any schoolteacher can tell you, & many a parent, sooner or later there's going to be that hyperactive, destructive "demon child." This is off-topic, but I should know. And I don't think anyone's going to mind, anyway I'm 50 years old. But I have a cousin who is 7 years older. Under our grandmother's care, I grew up with him. As a child, he fits this description. Plus from the time he was 2 up until 6, he enjoyed the "thrill" of banging his head as hard as he could on the kitchen cabinets, sometimes on the floor. As an adult at 57 now, he still acts mystified at strangers who avoid him & won't give him the time of day when he's put himself into somekind of distress (again). . . stranded car, flat tire, & ran himself out of gas are the most common events 🥴🤕. For me he remains under a 12 year old No Tresspassing Order NTO from the police

#1 - Urban Window Baby Cage … Ultra dangerous!! 🤯
@jamesfredrickson53982 жыл бұрын
Believe it or not, no injuries or deaths were ever reported from baby cages. In 1884, Luther Emmett Holt wrote of the importance of “airing” out babies in his book, The Care and Feeding of Children. This claim resulted in what is perhaps one of the strangest inventions to come out of the 20th century: baby cages.
@magnificentmuttley1542 жыл бұрын
Babies are born with two instincts: (1. nursing, & (2. fear of heights. Sooner or later there'll be that kid that's a born daredevil though, having no natural fear of heights
@gavinrichardson39182 жыл бұрын
Yeah the cage itself isn't dangerous, but imagine literally teaching your kids to climb out of the window, then one day when your at a friend's that doesn't have the cage and baby goes to play and jumps out the window!

"Everyone guided by their handheld devices". Who? My smart phone may be capable of smart stuff but to me it's just a phone. I don't go on the internet with it because that's what my computers are for. I neither make nor answer calls while driving and sometimes forget it altogether, leave it on my desk while out working. Why be disrupted by a damn phone while working?
@magnificentmuttley1542 жыл бұрын
I agree. There's no personal call that can't wait until when you're home in the evening. And I have the same problems: I'm not going to talk personal business while at work, nor am I going to talk on the phone while driving. So how is it any different now that it was when I had a home phone just a few years ago, or even 50 years ago??

The thing about wood is that it floats, because of all the tiny air pockets in it, but like you said. Wood will eventually start to soak up the water, and when it does, not only does it no longer float, but it actually sinks to the bottom.
