Alright y'all I got a banger for you guys today. I decided to compile a 2nd part to my creative hand to hand fight scenes. I even got some clips from newer shows/movies so I hope this doesn't end up getting blocked, I got my fingers crossed. But anyway, This video features fights that I believe have a creative premise, choreography, and/or have creative endings/kills. I usually like to finish off my videos with my favorite clip, but this one I decided to start with my favorite, which was the silent fight from The King's Man. You cant get any more more badass and creative then 2 opposing squads running into each other at midnight in the middle of a battlefield and deciding to throw down with knives and shit in order to not start a full blown battle. Plus, I managed to get a clip from the new show Reacher which was a really fun show, I recommend it to anyone who likes my videos. I could watch Thad Castle kick ass all day. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy, let me know what other fights I may have missed and as always;
Love you guys, stay safe and be good people

that's true, but they forgot all about the bayonets at the end of their rifles. that would allow them to get a good stab in while staying further out of reach of their opponent. fun fact: the expression "the whole nine yards" refers to the length of the ammo belt used on the Vickers .303

one of the Bourne movies used a book in a fight as well, and all i could think of was, "that displaces the energy of the hit over a wider surface area". I'm sure this helps the stunt men/women prevent injuries on the job, but still...maybe a rubber book? :) meanwhile, the first scene...putting down your rifle with a bayonet attached to it? Better to unload it completely and retain its reach as a long bladed weapon.

The scene from Tenet is so incredibly cool. You'll never fully understand it imo, but the fact that depending on which "side" you're starting with, the other two are immediately aggressive. So the two approaching the turnstile are immediately met with aggression from the two coming out of it, but only because they were in turn met with aggression at the end of the scene, which would be the start for them. Both sides are confused as to why they're fighting, but both sides got attacked first.

I haven't watched the full Tenet movie. But I noticed that you don't hear their punches HITTING. You just hear their breathing because they are travelling back in time, therefore you wouldn't her the impact of punches, only the sound of where their bodies or objects make full impact. Great sound design on Nolans part.
@aFoolsMartyr
@aFoolsMartyr 2 жыл бұрын
Also punches really don't make that THUNK sound a lot of movies use. It's just to make them seem weightier. A real punch just sounds like a silent wet clap 90% of the time.
@SebHaarfagre

@@SebHaarfagre well I meant in movie turns. Cause they amplify those noises.
@DrakeKillah
@DrakeKillah Жыл бұрын
Why would you not hear punches hitting just because time is traveling backwards? Time is moving backwards for everything, so the punches are still happening, with all of the impact and force as normal, only in reverse... So everything would physically create vibrations the same way in reverse time as "normal" time, which means sound would be created just like everything else, but you would hear it backwards. Punches don't make the classic "thunk" sound it does in movies, it's not that loud in reality, but for any of you that think you can't even *hear* punches IRL... What the fuck are you guys smoking? Your minds must be melted by some meth that's been stepped on a few times too many. A punch or kick that lands, is clearly audible to bystanders. It's not as loud as in movies, but the sound is just amplified to support and amplify what is going on in the movie, immersing you in the action, because if you were the one GETTING hit, the punches would sound louder to you than anyone else. Source? A few years of MMA, and the odd fight...

You gotta love the John Wick films. Mindless, but brilliantly choreographed violence; paper thin plot; great dialog; a criminal class with a weird sense of honor; the crowd in Grand Central Station that doesn't see ANYTHING; and in each of the first two movies, there is only ONE cop (the same one), but he has memorable lines. "You uh, working again John?" and the hilarious, "Gas leak?"

@@jlebron7928 Let's see.... Holes in the plot logic you can drive a truck through; almost total lack of reaction by the public to killings; New York overflowing with skilled assassin's on every street corner; not a cop in sight; and do I really have to point out that no one could absorb even a fraction of the physical damage he takes? Oh, and I'd bet that the Army would love to have that ultra-thin bullet-proof material that is sewn into his suit. Still, as I say, the movies are incredibly good fun. Just don't try to take them very seriously.
@treytilley333
@treytilley333 Жыл бұрын
@@briancooper4959 have the same opinion. It’s mindless because you can’t take anything philosophical or meaningful from the movies. I think the world they created is very interesting at least but I come for the gun fu choreography. The plot being paper thin isn’t a bad thing. I can get easily get over the bullet proof jacket, they probably should have came up something like the movie Wanted with the healing process after taking so much damage but I’ll let it slide but what bothers me most is killing people as New Yorkers just walk by lol not everyone can be that cold and dead inside.
@canphan1375
@canphan1375 Жыл бұрын
@@briancooper4959 the armor thing is actually pretty easy to make an explanation for. Military gear is the cheapest bidder that meets requirements. Modern ceramic plates are somewhat cheap and actually stop spalling while spreading out the force, just explain that the assassin armor is none of that. Simply explain the material is expensive, and sure its thin and non restrictive. However it lacks any dispersive properties so its best suited (unintentional pun) for covert ops like say an assassin. Hell in 3 a kill squad is sent and they were all wearing proper plate and helmets, implying that hard armor is still better in that universe just not used by newer assassins for stealth.

@@stillbreezing5330 that's the thing - he takes his jacket off to show he's not armed, to get the guy following to underestimate him. "oh, he's got no gun? this'll be easy". But also, taking his jacket off, separates him from the crowd, making it easier for the guy to follow him so that he can control where the guy goes. If he runs into an alley way, the guy will follow. He's controlling the guys movements by painting a bigger easier to follow target on his back, so he can keep the fight out of public eye.

The Kings Man scene is by the hardest one to watch IMO.. Men from both sides understood what no mans land was, men from both sides understood one shot was a death sentence... Men from both sides put down there guns (till the end) and went the even harder and more personal route.. To pull out there blades and CQC weapons.. And fight in that fashion.. Put yourself in those shoes for a moment and marginate on how the last second a shot was fired.. Because it meant if I die here, I'm taking you with me..

JasonBourne fight Dash in the Bourne Ultimatum is the ultimate hand-to-hand fight scene in movie history. I had to rest after watching that scene, felt I was part of it.

the book beating in john wick 3 has probably gotta be one of my many fav kills in the john wick trilogy so far he deadass broke his jaw and neck WITH THE OVER WEIGHT BOOK and the way he just puts the bloodied book back in the shelf

The King's Man scene is one of my favorite fights in any movie, but I love the part after it even more. Spoilers Seeing Conrad die after doing all that was so god damn sad that I was crying even after leaving the theater. And the fact that it could've been avoided just made it even more devastating.
