00:00:00 NBI Agents
The National Bureau of Investigation or NBI, the Filipino version of the American FBI, is home to one of the Philippines’ most elite crime-fighting teams. Within the NBI, the anti-narcotics division is known to be the most dangerous with the highest death rate amongst agents. Raids on drug syndicates often result in violent gunfights as drug syndicates are highly armed with assault weapons. With only a bulletproof vest to protect them, the NBI agents put their lives on the line in pursuit of these hardened criminals. Follow “Break-Neck Business” as we venture into drug lord territories and apprehend members of one of the biggest drug cartels in the world.
00:22:31 Compressor Divers
The Badjao people of Bohol Philippines have always depended on the ocean for their livelihood. The pressures of living in today’s world have forced them to take drastic measures to improve their daily catch. Armed with just a spear, they dive into depths of over 20m for bigger and more fish. Their homemade air supply system: a second-hand air con compressor that pumps air through an extended garden hose they grip between their teeth. These compressor divers risk decompression, paralysis, and death to provide for their families - a task for “Break-Neck Business”.

I believe she was shocked why there were cameras when they were filing a search warrant, since those things, especially high risk cases, are not supposed to be documented, and other papers/documents in the female judge's office probably weren't allowed to be documented either.

@lambertprincess 10 күн бұрын
the woman in 17:55 was one of my law professors. she got a commendation for convicting a sinaloa cartel member to life imprisonment and went on to become a justice in the court of appeals. what’s being done there is raffling and is essentially a court proceeding. as of now, while raffling is done is open court, members of the media must seek permission from the court to attend as they are not considered interested parties and they may only take notes and may not record any part of the proceedings with gadgets without permission. in the video, it seems that the media did not ask for permission from the court as the judge had to ask why they were there in the first place. the point of this is to maintain the credibility of the raffling process by only allowing those who have business being there (ie. parties whose cases are being raffled) to be there and to avoid any suspicion of bias/undue influence by disinterested persons.

@@polkadots2823 yeah, i kinda understand that it looks bad from the point of view of someone who’s unaware of how this process works but it’s a bit disingenuous of the media to present it in the way they did that makes her look bad. maybe they didn’t appreciate being kicked out but they also had no business being there and recording a proceeding without permission.

Singapore is tiny compare to Philippines, it's easier for Singapore to patrol/guard all its border against the inflow of illegal drugs. Philippines has a coastal lines twice as much as the United States and given the current resources of Philippine Coast Guard and Navy it would be impossible to patrol every km of these coastal areas, on top of it Philippines is an archipelago consisting of 7000+ islands, plus you add the corruption in the govt - thus it's virtually impossible to control the influx of these drugs.

What's scary is that throughout the video, the man being interviewed was not lying. In fact, if you read his body language or non-verbals around his eye movement, his eyes were looking towards his left and down, meaning he's trying to recollect facts while also confirming with himself if what he's saying is right before saying it. And in 8:21 it seems the man at the center is very dominant, as he sits at a figure four lock position while both of his hands are on his one leg, which could indicate stress and self soothing. Still, in a split milisecond, his eyes wander off to his right side, which could indicate lying. 🤔

You need a depth gauge and dive watch and dive tables. If you go the deep 30bto 40 meters you have to use dive tables to find out out long you can stay down and on the way up you have to go slowly and wait at certain levels to decompress. If not you can get the bends. Than you need a decompression chamber most likely not available. And I'm sure they make multiple deep dives. Not good they can die.

this was filmed years ago if I'm not mistaken, base on the money used for test buy, a New Design Series(NDS) (1985-2017) which is now replaced with New Generation Currency(NCG)(2010-Present)

unfortunately Compressor Divers doesn't boils down to one labor force, but also relevant to various labor that uses it. like notably labor mining where its rigorous work requires to dive thru a claustrophobic tunnel underneath muddy waters w/o visibility, using the the help of a hosed compressed engine as its only means to breath underwater.

This show the efficiency of the government’ official. Why take so long to issue a search warrant? Likely the judge are on the take.

They have faced many cases of big syndicates, I think it is dangerous for NBI to allow the media to document cases that involve the big fish and consider it as highly classified.

Philipinos are kind. One time I felt light headed but I didn't want to go ho to a hospital, instead I went out for a night walk and then a group of people asked me whats my problem and I don't what happened but when I woke up, they sent me to the hospital. Im not sure though why my wallet and phone are lost.
