The vulnerability and relatability this season has been what is needed in 2022 after all things peak pandemic! You and Alisha have been honest, emotional, funny and what seems truly yourselves. I recommend Pretty Basic to everyone I know, it’s literally like a convo with your besties, all topics included. My fav episode ( besides ALL of them) would have to be the one where Alisha shared about her depression and you were so supportive. I’m so glad you guys kept that episode.

Honestly, my favorite Pretty Basic episodes are where you and Alisha are vulnerable! So many women go through similar things you guys talk about and it’s nice to be relatable and seeing how you guys overcome things.

I loved the episode with Jackie Aina!! I didn’t really know anything about her before the episode, but after watching her on Pretty Basic, I was in awe of how articulate, thoughtful, and business savvy she is. Your discussions about how she began Forvr Mood and her advice on how to boost POC creators, particularly black creators, was so insightful. It was clear too that you and Alisha had put so much work into researching for the episode. In general, I love the overall vibes of your podcast! You guys managed to create an episode that was witty, thought provoking, yet still fun to listen to. I always look forward to your weekly episodes. The fits, the vibes, EVERYTHING is giving!! Awe Remi. Don’t be upset! Honestly thank god that salesperson had the courage to say something. Most people would just laugh and not tell you. I love these vlogs. I’ve been so depressed this Christmas because my job has been making me work almost every day this Christmas season, so I haven’t really had any time to do anything festive or fun. Watching you, Lauren, and Alisha’s vlogs on my breaks or before I sleep has been my saving grace and the only thing able to give me a good laugh and raise my spirits! Thank you guys for sharing your life with all of us! ❤

By far my favorite episode was the Meghan Trainor one, I know how much you have loved her and I was so happy that when the pod came out that it all just sounded so genuine and it almost felt like she had been apart of the podcast since the beginning...(P.S. Pretty basic is actually the only podcast I listen to. It’s so hard to pick a favourite because you and Alisha together create the best atmosphere and loving and accepting community for listeners in every single episode. If I had to pick a current favourite it would be your episode of what you learned in 2022, this was so inspiring to me and I can take what you two have learned to better myself in 2023! I honestly love the episodes with the two of you, but I also really liked the Eva episode. You were all my childhood and seeing how everyone grew and developed through the years is so cool. I also really liked the episode where a fan caught Alisha making out with a guy in Vegas.

My favourite episode is when alisha really got emotional because even though of course you guys are regular people like us, we tend to forget that all of us are really going through similar things and letting it all out in the open and crying your heart out is so important and really is okay. I come from a family where crying and being depressed is looked down upon so much and seeing people like you guys who I idolize normalize it really makes me feel like I’m worthy and that everything is going to be okay. Thanks rem and alisha, love u guys for life ❤

Omg, the toilet paper debacle.. 😂😂 Reminds me when I was about 7 or 8 months pregnant, I was shopping at Baby Gap one day. I had on flannel pj pants. One of the employees approached me and said “Did you know your pants are ripped in the back?” I totally played it off like I knew there was a MASSIVE rip in the seat of my pants. Lol!! I wrapped my winter coat around my waist and ran out of the store completely mortified. 💀
