That's great. I tend to leave a Leica charger in my car running off a hyperjuice, but grabbing the double charger to run from the high output USB-C connectors will be much better. Awesome. Also, running one of those cool Smallrig batteries with the sl system will be great as well.. Already use them to power our laptop on site with the little claw mount plates locking onto the laptop tripod. Expensive, but useful bits of kit

The dual charger is so convenient, I love anything with usb c haha and man, those v mounts are so useful!

i swear my Hyperjuice 4 output 100w charger charges WAY faster than Dtap chargers!! @@lukasvanderlende

(also, i meant to say running off an Ecoflow, not hyperjuice.. i have a Ecoflow River that sits in the car charging things)

Am glad they came out with this dummy battery it saves you from having a bunch of batteries. Now you can either connect it to a plug on the wall or a battery pack! and not worry about not having enough battery life. When i first bought my Camera i thought you could shoot by attaching a battery pack to the USB-C port, but then i came to find out it only! charges the battery, and to make matters worst it only charges when the camera is off. Am also glad that finally Leica lets you download video files to your phone. before it was nuts that i had to remove the SD card and uploaded to the computer. They late to the party with this stuff but at least is here. This new dummy battery is only Compatible with: Leica Q3, SL2, SL2-S and SL3 so far my guess future Leica's will be adapted to this as well. Battery code is Leica USB-C DC Coupler SC-SCL6

Can I power with this dummy battery both monitor plugged in via HDMI and a camera from Powerbank? Thanks for the content, you are the best in terms of Leica SL2S videos

Yup! Plug the dummy battery into a v mount or power brick, and plug your monitor in to the same power source and you’re set! Thank you so much, means a lot!

Informative, thanks. In regards to the Leica double battery charger, can I use it to charge the batteries with a USB Battery pack, or does it need a wall socket?

Should have mentioned that. Yes I charged both batteries using my mobile usb battery pack. Works great!

@@lukasvanderlende ah perfect I order one asap. I had to return the Nitecore charger since it was not compatible with both SCL4 and SCL6 batteries, only SCL4. This new charger will be great for charging batteries while travelling and long days out shooting.

It’s 150 bucks because laws on German imports…. Also think it’s much smaller quantities sales potential so it’s kinda expected sadly. It’s a bit cheaper here in Europe

Mine dose not work via usb-c and vb99. Am I doing anything wrong? (SL2s small rig vb99 apple usbc cable)

Mine was pretty spotty. I ended up buying the Leica dummy battery and that’s been the most reliable experience
