Actually no my man. The Daiwa IMZ Limit Breaker (reel) retails for $800-$1100 depending on where you buy it new. Also there are the Megabass ARMS super legerra rods that are $1100 ++ depending on what you want. The Evergreen Dire Wolf inspira rod is $1200 by itself lol crazy times we live in

I have a similar set up with the st Croix and shimano carado but my set up was about 350. I love it!

You can buy reels for more money than that combo, sadly. I do feel however, this is about the best combo money can buy. St Croix make incredible rods and it's hard to go wrong with any high end Shimano.
