@@marlon6415 I’ve been practicing my handstands for a little bit over 6 months now, and i can do 10 handstand push ups in less than one minute. My body, after the amount of time I’ve practiced, is still skinny. I can at least tell you that his knees are just a little too bent, it’s “half” acceptable for me. I reckon thousands or even millions of people out there can do the same as him. Not saying this is unimpressive, but I just don’t think he should’ve qualified for something like guinness book of world records :)

It's really interesting how there are different ways to do handstand push ups. That guy is performing them in very retracted scapula, which makes his chest do most of the work (similar to incline bench press), and I've seen people doing reps in fully protracted scapula, which engages the shoulders really hard
@testosteronetips-cf3yq
@testosteronetips-cf3yq 5 ай бұрын
LOL you are clueless bud and tryna sound smart. delisonal. How is his scapula protracted if he is pressing up (depression into elevation) Chest is not working much, compared to triceps and shoulder flexors and upward rotators (traps, deltoids, rotator cuff, serratus anterior etc) Pectorals adduct and extend the arm mainly, only slight flexion. The peopel u r talking about in claisthenics is more like incline. Nothing to do with scapula position. Learn antaomy.

Michael Crosby, so he does NOT train with dumbells/barbells and has little time under tension therefor has small muscles?
@KINGKROSBYSKINGDOM

muscles grow bigger/stronger only if put it under stress with heavy weights than normaly can be handled body weight isn't enough to get bodybuilder big
@KINGKROSBYSKINGDOM

this is why bodybuilders are so big but are not necessary pound for pound the strongest atletes

For all those saying he didn't get to 90 degrees it is the angle at the elbow and if you look his arm is straight at the end of each push up

It's important for fair comparison. Allowing few degrees leeway becomes large factor in endurance-based records.

agreed. i can do probably 8 based on the rules in the titles. But to get 90 degrees, id use a plate on each side to lower through it. If you dont actually have to lock out or get past 90 degrees, its a lot easier.

To everyone complaining in the comments..... can you do this?
@tappajaav
@tappajaav Жыл бұрын
Insisting on proper form is important so records can be compared fairly. That isn't matter of whether someone spectating can achieve the same or not. I don't have to be professional musician to point out a bad note in a performance, or reclaimed writer to see and mention typos or plot errors in a book.
